Does the job well and won’t break the bank
I just had a hysterectomy 3 days ago. Right before I was put in a wheelchair at discharge from surgery, a nurse slapped one of these abdominal binders on me. My doctor never mentioned getting one prior to surgery to help with post-op pain and comfort, and I only know what a binder is from a nursing background. I’m so grateful they put one on me to remind me of these!! The one from the hospital was a 4 panel, and although it had a padded front which felt nice, I needed something smaller. I’m 5’4”, 125 lbs, and I have a short abdomen. I saw the price and reviews on this one and purchased the 3 panel, 12” one as it was a good value comparable to others that were more expensive but basically the same thing. I got it overnight. I am very pleased with the comfort, and in relief because of the support this binder provides! I was not sure if I would wear it all the time, but after reading some reviews online of women saying they only took theirs off to shower: I figured I’d try wearing it all day, and- I get it now, I don’t want to take mine off! I notice a big difference in pain levels and overall discomfort when I am, and when I am not wearing the binder: It is much more comfortable and I have less pain with the binder on, especially when sleeping. The fit is still a tiny bit big for me at 12”, but the 2 panel may be a bit too small, and I’d rather it be a little too long than not have enough support. It breathes well for a binder, I’m not expecting luxury feel from an abdominal binder, it’s meant to support and it does, and it’s honestly comfortable once you get used to it, kind of like wearing a bra. Putting it on by yourself is pretty easy, just takes some getting used to. Quality Velcro, and it’s machine washable. Going to pop it in the wash today when I take my first shower. I’m so grateful they make these affordable and quality so more people can experience a little more comfort during a painful process. I highly recommended wearing an abdominal binder if you are in a similar situation no matter what kind you purchase, but this one is not a bad choice!

Can't do recovery without them!
Before my hernia repair surgery I ordered two of the 4 panel binders because I didn't know what the hospital would give me and I needed latex free. I had no idea I would need one until a loved one told me to be sure they gave me one. I had surgery 5 days ago to repair a 2 inch hernia in the midline above my belly button. Surgery was done with robotic assist, so I have 3 incisions off to one side, the internal hole sewn up and 4.5 inch mesh sewn in. They put a different brand of 3 panel binder, just like these, on me in the OR. When I was allowed to shower the next day I put on this 4 panel binder. I find the 4 panel more comfortable. The top and bottom cover all of the area involved, and just feels more supportive than the 3 panel. Again, the 3 panel is a different brand that the hospital supplied, so please don't compare the 3 panel comments in this review to the 3 panel of this brand here. The top and bottom edges of the 3 panel did not stay in place. I had to reposition them every time I got up. The top and bottom of the 4 panel stay exactly where I put them and do not ride around. For sizing, I first measured where 9 inches and then 12 inches would sit on my torso, and decided the 12 might be more comfortable. Then, since I'm a curvy female, I measured the widest area inside that 12 inch height. I ordered the size range that number was in. To put the binder on I first hook the bottom at that widest point, then pull the binder and attach the velcro as I work my way up. Where the top edge sits is narrower than where the bottom sits, so this allows me to get the velcro attached at an angle to give me equal support top to bottom. If hooking the velcro in a straight vertical line the top is too loose on my shape. This binder is so much more comfortable than the one the hospital put me in that I'm only using the 3 panel the day I wash both of these 4 panels. I wash in a zipper bag in the machine with cool water & then hang dry. Do not skip the binder for hernia surgery. The support helps with swelling and pain management.

Very good - have tried other brands
This 3-band belt is better than most of the others I've tried, but a lot like some other brands as well. I use it for abdominal hernia support. The material (elasticized cotton, it seems) is as breathable as can be expected and is the right thickness and amount of stretchiness to give good support. Some other similar brands, not so much. It is comfortable enough to wear for long periods directly against the skin. The Velcro strip attaches to the binder material itself - typical for this type of belt - so the material has a tendency to fray over time. That's not a big deal. I have ordered another. Be sure to save the strip of plastic-like material that covers the Velcro strip when you first receive it. It comes in handy to cover the Velcro when not in use so it doesn't hook on other material, and you'll need it to cover the Velcro when you wash it. I wash it by hand and hang it to dry.

Satisfied
I’m very satisfied with this item. Fits good and wide enough to cover my belly and lower back.

Impossible to put on solo. Ultra stretchy. Difficult post-op
I got this product for support and comfort post-op for my hysterectomy. Things it is: Gives light support without the barbs and stiff ribs in other support binders. Relatively comfortable, easier to sleep in than the ones with the rigid support ribs Very stretchy Velcro very sticky What it's not, and reason for 3 stars: Easy to put on- frankly it's so hard to get on solo and even with two extra hands helping, the Velcro will never perfectly align or be free of bumps and wrinkles. Post-op this thing almost broke me because I was so frustrated and in pain trying to get the damn thing in place and tight enough to actually offer a modicum of support. Ultimately, I'll probably return it. While it's more comfortable to sleep in than the others I bought, it's SO HARD to get on, even with someone helping me, that I'm just fed up with it and have grown to hate it. If it actually looked like the photos and had 4 separate Velcros coming off of a single elastic binder that you could pull to put on, it would've been perfect and comfortable, but it doesn't. It's all one cheap, stretchy piece of elastic that's impossible to put on for someone that's post op, week and in pain.

Great Hernia Support
Use it for stomach hernia and it works great. Also great value for the money. Comfortable, and adjustable.

THE BEST for post op support and doesn’t break the bank.
THIS is the only garment that has worked for me post abdominoplasty/muscle repair/lipo. The one they sent me home in was too short for my longer torso (I’m 5’7”, 148 lbs). The hospital supplied item was stiff, thick and rode up my torso. THIS feels so secure, can be adjusted to be snug and yet is flexible enough that I can BREATHE. I got the 4 panel, 45-60 length and i could’ve got the 30-45. Sure, the Velcro leaves the material fluffy after using 2 wks but it still functions and - what do ppl expect for $29? Liked it so much I bought another until I can find a decent compression stage 2 faja. Those are another story… ugh.

Necessary after abdominal surgery
This was a miracle product after my hysterectomy a few weeks ago providing support and minimizing movement which helped immensely with the pain. Very comfortable and adjustable. The velcro is super strong, which does rip up the spots where it's fastened, but so far it's holding up pretty well.

Way to small
Very disappointed...I ordered a 30-45 waist...it arrived...it would not fit a 3 year old.

Always a fan of Nyortho as used it once before for post-surgery recovery, bought on Amazon as unable to find it in Singapore, glad that I bought it as it was perfect. Will buy more if Amazon can bring back the sale!
