Mammut - Masterpiece Junior Paint by Number Tigers

We like to bring a small collection of books and little craft sets as gifts for our children when we are going on holiday, with the aim to keep them busy and off the Ipad as much as possible.Our 9 year old was recently introduced to paint by numbers through a reasonably upscale but very cute Ravensburger set. Somewhat to our surprise she very much liked it as it was a relaxing activity that yielded an fairly impressive result.So I was looking for a cheaper non-boxed set that could be easily taken along on our next family vacation.This puppy dog set was an instant hit as it is apparently very cute. The set has 8 different colours and a slightly crude brush. By now she has found out that the key to proper painting lies in the quality of the brush, so we already got her a more professional brush of her own with a fine tip. It took her a couple of hours to complete the project, and she now has an other artwork to display in her museum.We’ll probably get her a more challenging, bigger set next of which there are plenty on Amazon.Cheeky tip: there typically is more paint in these sets than you’ll need, so if you photocopy the numbered template on good quality paper you can create one or two more copies for thankful and impressed granny’s.

This is an excellent purchase for keeping the kids quiet for a while. It is quite tricky in some parts and needs a steady hand so not for the very young first timers to painting. Paint is good but can go hard if the lid is left off. My daughter has lots of these and loves them.

Great art project for homeschooling

I bought this for myself (I am an adult), and had great fun doing it. I would have appreciated more paintbrushes as some of the spaces were tiny and the brush was too big for them, but it was great value for money. Lots of paint left over at the end as well so don't worry about running out of paint.

Print very small, numbers very difficult to read & paint difficult for a child to mix. Would be better if print was bigger & had separate paints for each colour

My 5 year old Grand Daughter is an extra ordinarily amazingly creative child.She absolutely loved this activity and spent a whole afternoon carefully following the colours.Her finished painting is absolutely lovely.This is an activity for all ages. Would suit creative children and adults.

Arrived super quick and purchased as a gift for my 9yr old niece. This should help keep her entertained in lockdown

The kit doesn’t provide all colours required, you have to mix colours together. For example the pattern will say mix colour 1 and 17. This is too complicated for kids and gives an inconsistent colour.The printed text is very small and light, very difficult to read.I purchased a normal adult paint by numbers from another supplier, it cost the same but was much bigger, had all the paint colours and 3 sizes of brushes. This was more suitable for a child than this product and much better value for money. I would not recommend this product.
