Such a well done book! Not only is it beautifully illustrated, it is a great prompt to approach the loss of a loved one with a small child. I lost my grandparents at a very early age and I see their work in my life daily and am always blessed with a cardinal sighting, reaffirming their presence here with me on Earth. This book perfectly captures that sentiment so that I can share that feeling with my kids!

This little book is a gem. The message in the story is sweet and the illustrations are fanciful. It's great to let kids know there will be ups and downs in life and they are NOT alone.I also like how Kathleen weaves a Bible versus into the book, just like she did in BRAVE.
