Quality Set
This is better than I hoped. Very small, perfect carrying case with 4 fitted holders inside for the American, numbered tiles. Heavy, quality and pristine (hand painted?) tiles. Extra Jokers, blanks, 3 dice and Wind indicator. Room for several large MJ cards, too. A very quality set & perfect for a long trip, via plane, train and car!

Product is everything that the description said it would be!
After reading the negative reviews, I took a chance on buying this set to bring with me on my trips and am very pleased with the product. I took many of the negative reviews with a grain of salt as comments about small size and missing numbers was counter to what is seen in the product images. Measurements were included in the product description so shame on those who didn't see this information in the write-up. Yes it is small but THAT is the point of the travel set. I'm looking forward to trying it out on my upcoming cruise.

Portable
Small enough to play anywhere. Tile are small visable and high quality. Has dice and wind indicator for Chinese play but is an American set.

Nice quality travel set
The perfect mini set! Of course it’s small. That’s why it’s so handy. Far lighter than a standard set but with some heft to it. Compact with everything you need. Think of this as a travel set, not your primary set. It’s way better than trying to play with flat playing cards. As others have noted, the case isn’t super durable or high quality. Basically vinyl covered cardboard. It is nicely designed though — everything fits perfectly inside: tiles, trays, dice, two blanks, there’s even a mini wind indicator. Two snaps hold the whole thing closed. If you consider the fact that board games usually come in cardboard boxes, this is actually a step up.

Open + Check + Count before playing !!
Sorry for waiting till now for this review. This set of MJ has been serving my friends ever since I got them in Sept 2015 (over a year ago). Over the past weekend, our friends were with us playing this set of MJ game again, and someone SCREAMED all of sudden !! There were actually 5 of a kind, instead of only 4. We found that there was also a missing character for this course. Even though the set came with two extra "wild" MJ, but you will feel odd when you are holding this "wild" because you may puzzle if this is indeed "wild" or just a MJ being turned around. Anyway... if you plan to order this set, please check all of them immediately before playing to make sure they gave you all characters in the right number (Don't just count the total number of MJ). Hope this helps.

Chow Pong Kong
I couldn't justify purchasing a full sized set. This travel set is AWESOME.Start with the tiles, the main course. They have a beautiful weight, smoothness, and my favorite design. The character tiles do not have English numbering, as described. Print is clear. They do not look cheap. Nice thickness and consistent color.Tile holders are clear, sized appropriately and not flimsy.Wind indicator is a plus.Instruction book is included, but I have not read it yet. And, unfortunately...the case and tile holders:At this price point, I have to let it go.But, I will put the case in an unused neoprene tablet sleeve with handles. Plus, we'll have to be very gentle with the tile storage holders.Happy Shopper

Cute, but too small to be practical to play ...
Cute, but too small to be practical to play with. The plastic trays that come with it, however, do make it easier and more mobile.

Cute Tiles, Great Value
The tiles are adorable and just barely large and thick enough to play with. The racks aren't necessary, but they work well and are appreciated. Even the dice and betting/wind-indicator cube are of good quality. Be aware that the tiles are traditional, meaning the suits do not have arabic numerals on their faces. If you feel you can't learn Chinese numbers from 1 to 10, the accompanying rulebook depicts tiles with arabic numerals, so you could use a fine-point Sharpie to number the tiles. The rulebook is good too, by the way, much clearer than the poorly translated one you may be familiar with if you've ever purchased a Mahjong set before. The only possible complaint is that the storage case is very cheap and flimsy, but who cares. It's the game pieces that matter, and these are terrific.
