I Absolutely love this keyboard so far! Highly impressed.
I’ve gone through a lot of mechanical keyboards over the years, mostly ones with green and blue clicky or tactile switches. This one surprised me in the best way. The Redragon K617 with magnetic switches feels totally different, in a good way. The overall build is compact and solid. It doesn’t feel cheap at all even though it’s lightweight. The RGB lighting comes through the white keycaps really well, and it fits right into my setup without being too flashy or over the top. What stood out the most was the typing feel. It’s a clacky sound, not loud or sharp like my old clicky boards, but still gives great feedback. More importantly, the switches are fast and smooth. It has software you can download, thats very customizable, i was able set the actuation point to 1.2mm in the software and noticed an instant boost in responsiveness. It takes very little pressure to register a keypress, but I’ve had no accidental triggers, which was my main concern before testing it. For gaming, the low actuation gives you a fast edge, and for typing it just feels clean and light. I didn’t expect it to replace my main board, but here I am keeping it plugged in on my main desk. If you’re looking to try magnetic switches without spending a fortune, this is a seriously good place to start. You get a solid keyboard, a premium-feeling typing experience, and customizable actuation all at a budget price. I’m impressed.

A solid upgrade from traditional mechanical keyboards
I purchased a used version of this product. I have been using redragon keyboards for years, so I figured that any missing peripherals would be easily swapped. Fortunately, this item arrived in its original packaging with all accessories in new condition. I suppose some people just don't like minimalist keyboards. The magnetic switches are much easier to work with as opposed to mechanical ones that require copper pins to make contact with the pcb. This also opens up a wider variety of options if and when I decide to install higher end switches. The key caps are a bit rough, but for the price, you're getting a platform upon which to build and upgrade. I would recommend some sort of wrist rest and/or desk mat, as these smaller keyboards can be troublesome for those with larger hands. If you're handy and like to tinker, there is much potential to modify this relatively cheap keyboard to compete with the likes of much more expensive models. The software is a point of contention, as most redragon boards do not need companion software to take advantage of their features. Due to the nature of magnetic switches, software is required to access some (but not all) of the features. The lighting effects are more sophisticated than other keyboards of this price range, and the ability to customize each individual key is far more convenient than, say, replacing individual switches to accomplish the same thing with a mechanical keyboard. 3rd party scripts and mods will work with this board just like any other. When setting features via software, those settings are downloaded onto the keyboard and will persist until you use the software to change things. For around $30, I feel like I got a great deal and have room for future upgrades. Gone are the days of having mechanical switches wear out and having to pry them off the board and try to line up flimsy copper pins with tiny surface mounted contacts.

Good budget rapid trigger keyboard with rgb
My first rapid trigger keyboard so it’s definitely the best I’ve played with. Use it for gd and valorant and it’s pretty responsive. Software is decent but I rarely use it. It’s quite loud but not an issue for me but I guess I don’t really like that it doesn’t come with f1 shortcuts or arrows keys but that’s obviously something I knew before I bought it.

Solid Keyboard
Overall, this is a solid keyboard. It arrived in nice packaging and makes a great first impression. The design looks clean, and it feels good to use, with fast response times and satisfying key sensitivity. However, over time, I’ve noticed it’s quite loud, which might not be ideal for everyone. Considering the price range, I’m a bit unsure if it fully justifies the cost. That said, it still performs well and has some features that stand out.

wow, reddragon has come a long way!
let me just say, overall, this is the best keyboard ive ever owned. been through a lot of boards too:razer, ducky, logitech, ect.. and so far this one is my favorite in just overall quality. man these switches are amazing! tried most of the cherry mx ones but never magnetic untill now and i gotta say i don't think i will ever go back! i put a small amount of lube on them and while i couldnt really feel a difference after that i could hear it and it sounds amazing! so satisfying to type on! i feel like i am typing at least 10WPM faster now with significantly fewer errors because there is basically 0 delay. i noticed it straight away the first game i hopped into. My only complaint is the reddragon software is missing some minor functions that other software has, but nothing i couldnt fix with a bit of AHK magic. it is insane to me you can get a keyboard this high quality for this price.

Good Board Bad Implementation QA Issues?
So I got this keyboard to see if it could hold up to the big dogs like wooting steel series razer ect but had to return it since some keys seemed defective out of the box and actuate by themselves. Got a replacement it was better but QA seems to be bad overall. Latency wise this keyboard clocks in at 77ms compared to 23ms on a wooting and 38 ms on an apex pro. Whether you can notice the difference its up to you. I could barely notice it compared to my wooting 60he and my drunkdeer a75 pro. Rapid trigger implementation on this board is bad. 0.1mm on this keyboard feels like 0.5mm there is no indicator to see how deep you have pressed the key on the software. There is also a dead zone after 3.5mm where keys wont actuate after bottoming out leading to really frustrating deaths of fps shooters since enabling rapid trigger on shift or space bar keys to run and jump will cancel the running animation. Polling rate will barely hit 4k even spamming the keys as fast as possible playing osu and there is no indicator in the software to check or set the polling rate. Also make sure you have it plugged in a usb 3.0 port since usb 2.0standard is capped at 1k polling. It comes at 8k polling out of the box by default. Switches are barely lubed and sound scratchy and clacky. Heavily modding this keyboard might make it sound good. The cable comes out of the left side of the board so if you have a custom coiled cable it would just look odd. In conclusion get this board for your 9 year old that feels like he cant "compete" because he doesn't have magnetic switches. If you want to play sweaty competitive games at a high level just don't. If u don't care about sound and u just want to try out rapid trigger its ok. For $30 more you could just get a drunk deer g60 or any of the sub $100 options available that have better features, switches, and latency than this board.

Worth buying
i have been using this keyboard for 4 months and this is the cheapest rapid trigger keyboard i have ever found. quality was soo good and the clicks are satisfying to hear... i felt weird at first but i got used to it.. and im never going back to machanical again.. having 0.01 response makes much more responsive movements in games.... worth buying

Best keyboard I’ve ever had in a while
The keyboard responsiveness of it even with the stock presets out of the box are amazing and not to forget you can make it even better if you download the app for it (keep note that you have to search “redragon keyboard software” then on the website search for the keyboard by scrolling down and do not select the other k617 keyboard select the one next to it or the one that has the same colour as yours) build quality isn’t the best however its a lot better than other ones that you get either at this price range or those poorly made ones that are cheaper, and oof the sound that these make soo amazing its soo milky sounding although this is not a sound that many people like so its dependent on your taste however as shown in the 2nd picture you can hot swap it honestly you are getting a lot at this price range and you have the advantage of having precise button presses which you could also get in a “snap-tap” compatible racer keyboard which isn’t cheap I just searched it up although its on deal right now it still isn’t cheap at a price of 160£s now would you get that or something cheaper that does a similar job with a few extra features? And last I checked it doesn’t come in this amazing color gradient that this does however, the ease of use is an issue for those who have had a 100% keyboard as things aren’t were they used to be or the keys themselves have been removed completely so you may think that you made a bad choice sure but there are ways of over coming such issues, one of them has been done for you by the company itself and that’s providing the additional functions that you initially lost with in already existing keys such as the f1, f2, f3 and so on keys have been placed in the same row as the number keys honestly amazing packaging, amazing value for the money you spent and all you need is just to get used to it, and afterall this is in the epicentre of keyboard customisation you can switch out the switches, the keycaps, the springs in the switches and lube it up to your liking, If you are thinking about getting this I suggest you get it now or possibly do some research before you do think about going ahead and buying it and if you are still unsure there’s always cyber Monday and Black Friday or any of the other holidays in between the start of the year till Boxing Day deals
