This is elastic cord. So it’s stretchy so they can stretch their way through. It’s also not consistently made as I ordered two packages and each was made out of a different material and had a different amount of Velcro. It rolls down and does not keep pets out from under the bed. Do not buy

We bought this product to prevent our cat from going under our bed and scratching up the mattress. No matter how tight we make it. She just squeezes underneath the protector and continues about her business.

This functions pretty well; I wasn’t sure if I would have enough to wrap around my whole bed so I ended up buying 2 just in case. I’m glad I did because, while there was plenty to go around the whole bed (queen), it wasn’t quite tall enough to completely block off the bottom, so I ended up using both. If you’re just trying to stop things from sliding under the bed, you’re probably good with just one, but if you’re like me and you’re trying to stop your cats or small animals from going under the bed to do their ~business~ then you should get two, especially if the gap is larger between the bed and floor.I set it up pretty quickly, and it’s only been up about a day; my cats aren’t happy about not being able to get under there so it seems to be doing a good job.
