Absoluty lovely book
My 3yo son decided this was a really neat book! The illustrations are gorgeuos and the writing is fun! I got the kindle version, but I think the printed version would be beautiful too! My son loves that the illustrator has a "Lupa doggy" (a dog named Lupa, which makes up part of his penname), which I also found adorable. Great story, well written and my son approves! Super clever!

Don’t care for books that don’t have definitive ending
Nice story and illustrations but it ends abruptly and, I assume, there will be a sequel to keep it going. I am not a fan of these type of books, whether for kids or adults.

Delightful Story
This book has it all. Good storyline. Good characters. Wonderful illustrations. Some magic and make believe. Some fun facts. Some learning elements. And conversation starters. Great all around and sure to keep you reading to the end.

Great story with beautiful art!
I purchased this book to share with my son and he absolutely loved the vibrant images and the fun story. The book follows Lola and her three siblings as they enjoy a day of imaginative play at their nana's house. The story begins with Nana redirecting the kids to enjoy some time outdoors and escape their electronics - which is a message that is increasingly important these days. The group then enjoys an exciting adventure into Nana's backyard pond where they discover beauty, sea creatures, and even treasure. What I most loved about the book were the sibling's different personalities and how they interacted with one another. The characters are relatable and charming, the story is refreshingly unique, and the art is stunning. I definitely recommend adding this book to your collection!

Interesting story
Very creative story. It was an entertaining read. I enjoyed the way the story involved the children and the octopus. I am ready for the next part.

Imaginative underwater adventure
I like the story behind this book of how siblings tried to work together to solve a problem. The illustrations were very colorful and representative of the adventure. Could be the Kindle reader, but double-check for extra spaces between words in locations 19 and 27. There was also a mention of octopi not inking, but they do. Lastly, in a few areas the scenes felt disjointed. One example is when Lola made a face to her siblings but they were still in the water whereas Lola was with her mom. I would have liked to see a tie in at the end of the story, perhaps a lesson for kids why the treasure was no longer of interest to explain to young readers.

The Guardian of the Octopussy
Another fantastic story for the little ones, full of colorful desriptions of the adventures of Lola and her siblings. Let's see, what is happening next...maybe they will detect the surroundings and secrets of their neighbourhood?
