Update: Correctable Manufacturing Defect
Update: After writing below review I was contacted directly by the manufacturer to resolve the issue. Although I didn't need any further help as I corrected the issue myself, the fact that they reached out to me to take corrective action was huge. Any company that is that responsive I'll most certainly go back to and promote their product among my diving friends. I'm changing from 3 stars to 5 stars.Probably Review: (3 Stars) I like this light, and I'd buy it again. It's bright, has a good feel, easy to operate - however, on my 3rd dive with it the light failed after getting into the water. Upon investigation after surfacing I noted that the ring above the lens that keeps it sealed had somehow backed off, allowing water to fill the case. The good news is that I completely disassembled it and let it dry for 24 hours. After putting silicone on all the seals and reassembly, it still works. This was fresh water - salt may have been a different story. I have since put red Loctite on the ring's threads to make sure it doesn't back off again, which I'd recommend prior to first use for anyone purchasing this product

Nice light for the $$$
Just took these on our latest trip to Bonaire. They have a powerful spot with a soft flood. No problems at depths up to 110ft. Great light for shining in various crevices in the reef. It's more of a yellow light than I usually like and you don't want to take pictures with the spot beam hitting your subject... You can see the difference with the spot hitting the turtle and the eel pics where I just let the flood wash over the subjects. Great strong light for 35ish bucks.. It's worth it...but.... There is one caveat, I bought two lights and both of them run at full strength until the battery gives out and then it just shuts off, no slowly dimming, no warning, when the battery is done...poof black out. So IF you are using these as a main for the occasional night dive, please be sure to have some kind of back up. Which you should anyway.

Review after 60 Dives
I bought this light to use for my divemaster internship in the Red Sea and dived with this light on every dive. My initial impression was the construction of the light seemed pretty robust. After 60 plus dives, the outside is still in great condition other than the black anodized coating is wearing away which is normal and to be expected after heavy use. The brightness of the light seemed good for night diving and ok for caves in daylight diving. What I did not like is that the light was unreliable. sometimes the light would not work. I would slide the switch to the "on" position and no light. I would move the switch back and forth, shake the light underwater, and twist the battery cover back and forth to try to get illumination without any success. I do not know if this is because of the switch or battery contact. No water was ever in the battery compartment, nor were there any signs of corrosion. This occurred about half of the dives. The battery also took 7 plus hours to charge when I did charge it. I would get about 45 minutes of run time on the mid brightest setting before the battery was drained,I also did not like the slide function of the switch even though it allowed for adjustable brightness. I cannot even count how many times the light was accidentally switched on while clipped to my harness. I'd take off my gear and notice it was switched on or my dive buddy alerted me to it being on. For these reasons, I would not recommend this light for diving due to it's reliability issues. I have ceased using this light and opted for a more reliable light for diving.

Its a genuinely acceptable primary dive light
Hi folks,I leave reviews only on products I feel strongly deserve a positive review or one I want to caution people about. In this case I believe this is a excellent value scuba dive flashlight. Also it seems to be one of the better values among the plethora of dive lights advertised. To get the best results in any high performing dive light you should always follow a few guidelines.Only put the battery in when you dive, any magnetic switch consumes power so you WILL kill the battery if you leave it in. If you do, throw it away and replace it, they are inexpensive so you should keep 2 or 3 spares on hand with a full charge. Plus most dives are multi tank with rests in-between.Keep a mini tube of silicone oring gel on hand and use a tiny bit on the dual orings every time. This makes using it easier and keeps it watertight. Most users with issues don't do this and regret it. Its more important on the better lights.Anyway, this dive light has surprisingly high quality and finish, run time is decent and is always driven by the brightness you utilize.I now have 2 of these and have them mounted on my dive bump helmet when I dive for fossils or other low visible dives.Last, I do keep a spare small divelight strapped on, and have not needed to switch over yet.Peace, love and happiness to you.Scotty P.

Brillante
