Liked the fact it was lightweight aluminium and easy to shape to the downpipe even though it was a square downpipe rather than round. Good all round value.

This is a pack of 5 sheets of wire, bent into a cone to stop leaves and other material from blocking your gutters.They're quite versatile, can be bent into different shapes or even used flat. For me, it didn't fit that well in a cone shape in my square gutters, but with a bit of adjustment I got them to fit.Useful if don't mind adjusting them to fit.

Easy to install and looks like it will do the job as intended.

I was gonna try and use these to try to minimise some of the most falling off my roof and plugging up my downpipes. this was partially successful.However, when I received these, I found them very difficult to get out of the box and they were quite sharp.One positive was they are quite easy to shape (as long as you are wearing gloves… They would cut you to ribbons otherwise) so it wasn't difficult to get them to fit the downpipes after untangling them from the packaging (which wasn't that easy). If they are too big you can use tin snips to cut them.They also fitted my square-shaped downpipes well so that was good, I worried as they looked round but they pretty much go to any shape you want.Turns out this is semi-effective for moss, it stops the bigger bits but then it tends to just breakdown and wash through anyway. Does stop leaves though, at least until they rot. So you need to remember to clear out your gutters regularly even with these.

🍂 I thought that it was worth giving these guards a try, as I live surrounded by trees, and come autumn, the gutters are full of leaves. I have tried the plastic versions with limited success, as the plastic is sometimes a little hard to get into place, particularly with overhanging roof tiles. These metal guards seem to be more practical as they are flexible and can be stuffed into the downpipe hole, but they can also be trimmed to size with wire cutters or tin snips.📦 On opening the pack, I found the metal guards tightly wound together, and it did take a bit of effort to separate them. Note that care needs to be taken as the edges are cut and quite sharp. I found them quite flexible and easy to form back into a cylinder shape once I separated them. I think that the material is robust, and the mesh holes are big enough to permit water to pass but not whole leaves or large debris. The metal was also flexible enough to allow me to bend the bottom edge in slightly to allow it to be inserted into the gutter.🍁 I think that the guards are highly functional, and I also found that they can also be laid on their sides in tight gutters to stop debris from flowing along the gutter. The metal mesh is quite strong, and I have seen some that were inferior to these with far thinner metal.🍃 And I am very pleased with them, and although the autumn season is generally the best time to put them through their paces, some trees, such as beech and birch, cast off significant debris when unfurling their leaves or flowering in April or May. I will report back if these gutter guards are unable to cope. ⚖️

Firstly, the seller and just about every reviewer warns that these Gutter Guards are sharp. To avoid cut fingers, do wear gloves - or warn the tradesman working for you to do so. I am still waiting for the weather to be suitable for someone to come and install these while also clearing my gutters, so I can't comment on performance. However, being made of aluminium and therefore rust-proof, they should be long lasting.What a smart idea! At the current price of £8.49 minus a 15% discount (bringing the price down to £7.22 for 5, or £1.44 each, with Free Returns, these Gutter Guards seem to me a bargain, especially if, as I hope, they protect me from repeat visits by a man with a long ladder.

This came in a small box, packaged nicely.At first I thought these were very small to be used on a standard drainpipe, however upon opening they expand and can be moulded to the size you need.These are pretty sharp so I would suggest using some gloves when setting up.They have helped my drains stopping all unwanted bits, leaves moss etc from clogging up.

DO YOU NEED THEM?Yes, my lower gutters are full of leaves in the autumn a lot of those end up in the underground pipes. I like to clear mine out and use the leaves and other debris as compost.DOES THEY WORK?Wear gloves as when you shape them there are some sharp points, I cut a knuckle slightly,Very easy to shape to get into place, you could also cut them easily if required.
