Replacement coaster are available.
My original coaster got damaged somehow. The table it was sitting on got bumped. Of course coffee spilt on the coaster. I thought I cleaned it up quickly. But after that one of the prongs would not pop up. I was very happy to find an affordable replacement works great. I only wish it was available in original green. New one works great.

Perfect replacement for Ember charging coaster
Ember mugs are great, but their charging coasters have contact pins w/ springs and its inevitable that either the springs will wear out or the pins will break off. Its hard to be too upset given this occurs typically after years of use.This charging coaster works perfectly and is actually a bit smaller than the original coaster that came with the mug. I have noticed no difference in charging speed and there is no risk to "overcharging" like some people say with batteries (the mug controls when to start/stop charging).

Defective charging coaster
I have enjoyed the Ember mug, but the charging coaster is defective. I have had two coasters in 15 months, with the last one being purchased Feb. 12, 2025. One of the pens came off, even with my being extremely careful in placing the mug on the coaster. The company needs to change the technology for charging the mug.
