Dont look for others, this worth more than the asking price
After several times of purchasing a less expensive digital door lock, which they work & last about a year or so. I decided to buy this one when the last one went out again. Now I wish I had spent the extra $10-20 before. This is why:Upon opening I find a really nice manual on glossy paper! Indexed, large fonts, spaced, easy to read, excellent pictures & step by step instructions that include if you are replacing a handle or starting from scratch. Note everything needed for both options are included! I flipped thru it & thought yeah this is great, but I know how to do this. I failed to read 1 of the top sentences on installation, see belowNicely packed in foam & not the cheap stuff that falls apart & sticks to everything. The type you can see everything from the beginning and no hunting for parts.Inside you see the entire set up nicely put together, perfect for those visual people who don't read instructions like me.When I took it out of the box I noticed right away how the quality of the metal was much better than the less expensive digital doorknobs I had been purchasing.I took it out & proceeded to take it apart & install. I missed one of the very 1st sentences in the manual that said the smaller screws that use the included allen wrench, you only need to loosen them & they mean dont turn it much. I just had to find where one dropped since I unscrewed the whole thing. All & all, it took me 5 minutes to install in an already door knob opening & reprogram the main code. Very easy to do in 112 degrees feel like temp, actual 100 degrees. So I was thrilled!2 included keys are fantastic! Even the buttons feel like it will withstand being outdoors much better.I wish I had purchased this one from the beginning instead of trying to save a few dollars which I think I ended up spending more in the long run.

Nice doorknob better with easy battery replacement
I do love the new door knob but there is a complaint. The batteries did not last a year with very minimal use and good batteries. Needing the tool to open the front knob to change batteries is inconvenient and problem causing. I couldn't locate the tool that came with it over a year ago.I still have it but of course when you need it ,you can never find it. Next, when I called customer service to ask if they could send a replacement. I got very useless ,unhelpful information from an unpleasant rep. I explained my problem with needing to change batteries and since the lock keypad died, my lovk wasnt locking at all. Which I was told it should still lock which it wasn't. Therefore, that made a easy battery change more urgent. I was told to send my doorknob mail in to them for repair/troubleshooting. Wow! So what should I do now? No door knob in my door, really? I decided to buy the needed tool an alen key metric, I believe. Changed the batteries all good now. Was very dissatisfied with customer service. If thats what you even call it that. Would like to see the ability to change batteries without tools. Should be an easier process.

HIt or miss. Ours was a miss.
Piece of crap. Oh, perhaps it was just mine that was defective. But it was defective. And it took more than a week for the company to get back to me -- oh, wait, they never did. In the meantime, our door was UNLOCKED with this piece of crap on it because we could not get it off without damaging the door. After calling them back after one week of EXPEDITED service (they never called), but hey, it was Genevieve's (?) last day, so that explains her failure to forward the service request, they tell me that they will accept the lock that is destroyed by us having to cut it off our door, but they would not send another until this first one was returned -- so, in the meantime, our door is still UNLOCKED. At that point, I just hung up on them. There was zero concern for the DAMAGE that removing this lock was going to do to my DOOR!!! Let me explain. We installed the door on a Sunday. First, TEST the lock before you put it on your door. The instructions are to test it after installed -- but save yourself headache. When we were installing, one of the tiny little screws would not go in. We spent about an hour just on that tiny screw. Perhaps it was a threading issue. I don't know. Got the thing on, tested it, it did not work. No customer service calling on Sunday, but Jeannette was available on chat. After chatting for a bit, she pronounced the lock was defective and sent me an online form to fill out. I filled it out on Monday from my office -- then called customer service and explained that we could not remove the lock -- the tiny little screw would not come back out. Broke two allen wrenches trying to get the screw off and we would damage the lock to either drill out the screw or whatever it took to get it off the door. She said she would escalate the request and I would get a call by the next day. One week later, no call. So I called. Gee, I'm so sorry. That was Genevieve's last day. Etc., etc., etc. But we must have the defective one back before we will send another. Ok, so in the meantime, I have no lock on my door until I can figure out how to get this defective one off it without damaging my door. Lots of wasted time and I still have no lock on my door. I explained to her that the $49.99 I spent was a drop in the bucket for what this had cost of my time (I'm self-employed and bill hourly), the cost of removing the defective lock (gonna have to hire someone) and the potential damage to our door -- and the risk of having an unlocked door!!! She was unconcerned. So, after a few profane words, I hung up. Done. Gonna figure out how to get the thing off my door without damaging too bad, and toss in the trash. I did explain to her that I'd be trashing them online. So, there's that.

Hard Install, Reliable Lock
The media could not be loaded. This product was hard and complicated to install, unclear instructions. It has worked for a few months now without any faults, I appreciate the key backup and micro usb port in case of emergency. Would purchase again.
