This is a very good tester, I purchased two different ones from a big box store and both did not function and were returned. This one is simple and correctly sounds when testing line voltage. The one improvement I could suggest is a button to turn the testing function on and off. It is constantly on, so if it is sitting on the counter and inadvertently gets close to an outlet or electrical source it just goes off. Again not a big deal but an off button would be nice. Still a very good product.

No sensitivity adjustment. Can't distinguish between live and neutral wires because it starts beeping from a foot away.

Needed this to help install a dimmer switch in my nursey. Prime got it to me the next day, and the thing worked like a charm. No complaints. Did the job at a cheap price!

At times pen picks up a "phantom" current but works great and the LED light is a nice bonus.
