So if you are like me and have some spare wall space and you struggle with a floordrobe then this is a great investment. I say investment as it isn't cheap...but let me come onto that on a minute.I wanted a sturdy coat rack as jeans and jumpers, dressing gowns and thick onesies won't be held up with little tiny plastic hooks. This has what appears to be metal well made hooks screwed into the wood. The wood is FSCS accredited and so means that what is cut down is replanted and in a managed forest. It's nice wood and well painted.The screws that came with it were actually ok and the little covers for the heads were an added bonus.So why pay for this over a cheap one from Wilko? Well firstly it's from a managed source not somewhere which isn't careful for the environment. Secondly it's a nice colour. Third the structure is well made and the hooks are quality. And lastly it has a top shelf...that for me was a bit I wanted, as it softens the look and makes it more of a piece of furniture than a selection of hooks on a bit of wood.

Despite being very well packaged, with no damage to the box at all, the coat rack had already fallen apart when I opened the box! It is nice looking, and I’m going to keep it, but my husband has now taken it apart and is in the process of putting it back together, properly this time, using strong glue and screws. It would never have withstood the weight of a few coats the way it was initially put together. VERY disappointing for the price paid.

I had purchased this item in early March, delivery arrived promptly but that item had laquer ripples in various places and also one of the coat hooks wasn't attached. I returned it (actually I just wanted a replacement but didn't seem to have that option). Then the price went up, but after weeks of waiting I was able to purchase the replacement at a resonable price. This one arrived the day after order in perfect condition. Really love it!!

Not sturdy at all

Lovely coat hook/ shelf. Just what I wanted. It will look fab in my newly painted hallway........ BUT the first one arrived very damaged,I ordered a replacement which has just arrived. When unpacked I found the paint to be scratched and scuffed. Other half said he will repaint as I've not seen anything else like this in the size and price range.

After searching for a sturdy coat rack for a while, this one finally did the job! At the time of purchasing it was well-priced in line with similarly-priced coat racks, which either weren't as big or as sturdy. Very easy to install and put up, well made with a good finish and really sturdy hooks. Really pleased!
