Why is there a hidden zip on the inside, under the armpit on the right arm only? The mesh bottom seam should provide ventilation, why only one side?

This is an easy question for my as I'm a machine embroiderer, the "ghost zip" allows me to get into the jacket so I'm only framing it to embroider through one layer of fabric. I lining is always slightly smaller then the outer layer, the jacket won't sit properly if you embroider through both and also the back of the embroidery doesn't show as it is inside the lining.
