The schematic included is wrong, but with the right wiring, the device works great!
First of all, this is a really useful device. Very small so that you can install it inside an existing outlet-box and very easy to integrate into your HomeAssistant application (or just use their app!) My only complaint was that when I tried following the wiring "schematic" that was included with the device, it shows that your light/appliance connects to the Neutral wire (white, in the USA) from the "I" (input) screw. This never worked for me and I thought I just had a dud (bad Shelly). Actually, the "I" is for "input", not output or "neutral". (who would have guessed?) I found the correct wiring diagram on YouTube channel "The Hook Up". I created my own version with pictures of sample components (apologies for some rough lines!) and I'm attaching it to this review. I'm not a licensed electrician (and I don't think the guy from "The Hook Up" is either) so proceed at your own risk, but if you try and fail using the schematic that comes from Shelly, before you return the device or toss it in the trash, you might want to try this wiring...

Great Little Switch
I've wanted to add a camera on my front porch for a while but could not come up with a good solution. The only existing wiring that I had out there was a hard wired light fixture, which would have been a problem since its connected to a wall switch. However, with this device I was able to bypass the wall switch and provide constant power to the camera. Then I added this Shelly switch in between the power and the light to give me control of the light. Then I also bought a Lutron Diva Remote to replace the bypassed wall switch. The final step was to create an automation in Home Assistant that tied the Lutron Diva Remote to the Shelly smart switch. It works perfect and theres no lag at all. Just an example of one of many potential solutions for a device like this Shelly smart switch. Extremely useful device with the right software behind it.

All I wanted was a better driveway light timer...
... but I got so much more. Frustrated with the normal light timers limited timing features, I turned to one of these Shelly Mini G3 smart switches. It works great and has the timing feature of an individual offset from dawn that was missing from the non-smart timer switches. The manual is bit overwhelming, and it was missing the specific "wiring plan" I needed. Searching the web I didn't easily find the answer. A deep dive into a manual for one of their other products and I found the answer. The wiring I needed was two momentary switches connected directly to the device. While it describes one, it's not clear on how to add more. It's pretty simple, put them in parallel. But this should have been easier to find. I wasn't interested in cloud support and was a little worried I would be required to use it. Again, a detail that is hard to get clarity from any manuals. It's not required or needed for local access only. Once installed, I used the AP feature (Wi-Fi directly to the device, open a web browser). This allowed me to finish the setup and configure the timers all I wanted. It's nice its exposed Web UI did everything I wanted. I continued and joined it my house Wi-Fi and have it automatically set time from the google time services. Then I could access its exposed web interface with directly connecting to the device, just my Wi-Fi; and had it automatically updated its firmware. It did come with firmware that was a version behind. Not really a requirement, but I checked out their Shelly app on my Android phone. It worked great. There are a lot of bad reviews that were recent, so I was worried. I think the complexity of rooms and how to add devices was throwing these people off, but the model clicked with me, and I thought it was very functional and stabile. So, I then ordered three smart outlets to add to the mix; and I am happy. Makes remote control and management of timers all in one UI rather than each units Web UI. There are many other features I haven't even delved into yet, like actions. If the App quits being supported, I can always go back to the fully functional Web UI on each unit.

Great WiFi Relays!
Great WiFi Relays! You can control them from a web browser or a Raspberry Pi or other computer. I can't say enough great things about them. Very impressive internal program controls.

They work great after you figure the app paring
Good device but difficult to set up. There are no instructions for getting it to work with app. I had to browse the internet to get it working based on what others did. Once I got it working it was reliable. I like the Emporia units better because they just work. This is great because it gives you many options to connect. I needed a set of dry contacts to start my generator remotely and this fit my specifications. This would be a five star review if the setup in the app was easy.

DROP DEAD EASY INSTALLATION
This thing is truly amazing! (okay-so I'm old and slow to catch on). I purchased my house 20 years ago, and it came with a gas fireplace. I'd prefer wood, but, oh well. Anyway, I have been searching for something to turn this thing on and off remotely for 20 freaking years. I incorrectly believed that a remotely operated switch would work, but, since it's a low-voltage setup, I had no neutral (or hot for that matter) to tap into. Fortunately, the same box has electrical wiring available, just not for the fireplace. Enter the Shelly device. I thought I had died and gone to heaven!!! This works every single time, even from the second floor of the house. I'd recommend it for everyone facing the same problem.

Use a pair of these to switch on a light in the back together with the light on my desk. Use the WiFi setup and trigger options. Works like a charme.
