Best iPad Pro case & keyboard
Ever since the introduction of IOS 26, I’ve wanted to use my 13” iPad Pro for more than a new media and entertainment platform. As an entrepreneur, I rarely sit in an office and work, choosing to work in my recliner, or out by the pool as I am now. This case provides the mobility options I wanted, turning my iPad Pro into a fully functional laptop-type on which I can write. As I typically do, I read reviews of similar case/keyboard combinations; after doing so, it was an easy choice for me to chose the Typecase Edge. I’m sitting here with my iPad Pro on my lap, the screen tilts into the perfect position as the sun moves through the sky, the keyboard is solid, and the keys have an excellent fell and responsiviness. As a piano player, all of my music is in an app. When I want to play, the iPad easily comes off allowing me to set it on my piano. This is, by far, the best screen/keyboard I’ve used for my iPad Pro.

Get the case it is worth it!!!!
This is an amazing case it came quick and it is a great look for my IPad Pro it holds it well and looks professional. I have been using it since it hit my porch I took it right out the box it had enough charge on it to go straight to my appointment, and held the charge for 4 hours while I done my class work. Don’t hesitate to get this case you won’t be sorry I got the wine color and it is beautiful.

Good quality
Case seems sturdy enough. Magnetic strip holds the iPad in place. It fits my 12.5 iPad Pro. The back lighting on the keyboard is pretty and you can change the color and intensity of it. I wish the charging cable was longer but that’s okay.

Generally good keyboard.
Typing feel of keyboard is excellent, magnetic mount for an iPad Pro 12.9 works well. My only complaint is with control of the keyboard backlight feature. There should be a simple on/off key. No need for multiple colors, scrolling colors, sometimes working sometimes not. All together too complicated.

Great Keyboard - Fantastic Customer Service!
This keyboard is the best I’ve had! I had used another brand for years, but they stopped making a great iPad case, so I decided to try the Typecase Edge. The cantalever viewing options are amazing, and the joints are very strong so the iPad stays in place. I love the different back light choices, and the track pad. The keyboard has a really good typing pressure with the keys. I had one key that recently became loose and I contacted customer support. They responded super fast, and asked for a picture of the problem. I thought they would send me a key replacement, but to my surprise they send me a BRAND NEW keyboard replacement - exactly the same model and color I had. Now THAT’s great customer service! They have won me over to become a loyal Typecase customer! Thank you!

A very usable iPad keyboard with some nice features...
I have used an older version of this case for a number of years, and my only complaint about it was the constant need to turn off the touchpad every time it woke up. More on that below. This case/keyboard is solid, and for some that means heavy. The weight helps stabilize the thing with an iPad attached, and the double-hinge design places the iPad weight a bit forward, which also helps stability. You probably won't poke this over backward. I mention that because I've had case/keyboards where the iPad leans back from the bottom and rests on a support that doesn't even come halfway up the iPad's back. And several times I lost control of the iPad and it crashed to the floor. That's why I was looking only at the double-hinge designs like this one. The keys have a nice feel, and the backlighting is fine (just like the older version). There is a forward-delete key above the backspace key, and for me that's a bit of a requirement, too. There are key combinations for many functions, and you get key-combo help on whatever app you're in. And, there are key combos for a selection of common Greek symbols, if you use those much. There is a little key-combo cheat sheet to the left of the trackpad, but I have to admit that it's too small and dim for my eyes. Also, the instruction booklet lists all of the key combos, but the print in the instruction book is too small for me to read unaided. That's common these days. Anyway, bottom line is that I like the keyboard in my required double-hinge configuration, and I'm happy with the purchase. Some people worry about the magnet strength. Make sure your iPad fits; mine's a 12.9 with no other case on its back. I will say that before you close the iPad down on the keyboard, you should push it back to its furthest reach. If you don't, it might knock the iPad loose from the magnetic back. It's not that the mags are weak, but it's the leverage you apply if there isn't sufficient room to close it down. Now let me carp a bit about the touchpad. I know some people live on the touchpad, but I'd prefer that it not be there at all. But every case/keyboard of this type [double-hinged] has a trackpad, and some of them have no way to disable it. Apparently, most people are not interested in disabling the trackpad as a feature, because in all the product descriptions and the glossy advert material it's never mentioned. So, I asked Amazon-world if it was possible. No users responded, but the manufacturer did! Yes, it can be disabled. It's now an fn- function, whereas before it was its own key in the right-option position. The rep even took a reply and responded a second time, so I was happy with that interaction. The trackpad does seem to recede when I'm typing even if I haven't disabled it. The disabling seems to last longer now, too. Note: AMAZON FEEDBACK: The first time I ordered this, the wrong product was sent. I simply returned it, saying it was not what I had ordered. I immediately ordered another, this time it was right. Love it, 5 stars. AMZ issued a refund for the first, but later informed me that they'd reverse the refund because I had not returned the correct item. They provided no means of communication, and the chat bot didn't understand. I gave up, so in effect I bought this item twice just to get one. I wish I knew what to do if Amazon delivers the wrong item. Just returning it doesn't work.

Good, not perfect
At first, I loved this keyboard case. The extra row of keys (modeled on the MacBook keyboard) really helped: sometimes I can't get an app to swipe closed, and the task switcher key solves that issue. Plus the microphone button makes doing voice input trivially easy to start. And the magnetic attachment/cantilever design is just like the Apple Magic Keyboard I already have. I mainly bought this new keyboard case because the old one has started periodically losing connection so that typing doesn't work and I need to restart the iPad. So far, so good. Now the bad: it _is_ heavier. The Magic Keyboard is 1 lb 9.7 oz (728.6 grams), while this typecase Keyboard Case is 1 lb 13.7 oz (842 grams). So this new one is 15% heavier, which isn't a ton, but it's noticeable. Plus the magnets are apparently weaker: with the Apple device, I could slide the iPad closer to me by pulling on the iPad itself and the whole thing would slide over. With this, most of the time the exact same procedure causes the iPad to pop loose. Probably the greater weight also has an effect here, I can't tell. So I'm stuck. I like those extra keys, and the build quality seems pretty good. I think the hinge is _slightly_ wobblier than the Apple one, but overall it seems solid. And the backlighting is also cool. But the iPad popping off is irritating, as is the startup lag (for the Bluetooth to settle down) . If the Apple Magic Keyboard had all the keys of the MacBook or this typecase, I'd really be a happy camper. OR if this typecase had better magnets and quicker connections, I'd accept the weight.

Nice Bluetooth keyboard for my 12.9” iPad
Works seamlessly with my Gen 4 12.9” iPad Pro. Love the key board lights and the connectivity . It’s a bit heavier than my original Apple key pad . It’s okay though. …..
