I went for buying these gun safes for my vehicles. I saw that I could buy 2 for just about the same price ($37 for the pair) as one of the other brands. And now that I've received them, I'm so glad I did. My hope was that they were a decent quality steel, that they had good functioning locks, that the cases open & close easily, that the leashes / cables were an acceptable gauge & that the padding would hold my gun in place.I can say that all my hopes were confirmed. I'm impressed that the safes I ordered are heavy & made with 1/8 inch steel thickness that is top notch.They also came with separately cut keys for both boxes. The locks function easily. I plan to use the safes in my cars, so I went with the key-type instead of the combo-locks since I will always have my safe keys with my car keys.The cases also open full & lay flat with ease. The hinges are smooth without hang-ups. A fantastic bonus is that there are protective raised edges to the inside made of the same thickness of steel.The leashes are also of acceptable thickness & length of about 40 inches. They'll be long enough to wrap around my car seat legs & should hold up fine in most situations of attempted theft. Best part is that the leash recess in the safe is also built into the protective raised edge, which will make it much more difficult for a thief to yank out of the safe.The padding also has just enough thickness to hold my gun, ammo & magazines in place during transport.I'm probably going to buy these safes for my friend's birthdays. They will love them!

I got this gun case to transport my gun on an cheked baggage. The product is good quality and sturdy. This is a very good value for the money and Im thankful to the manufacturer and seller for making and selling a good product for a great price.

A good value i have had these style of safes for years and I can tell you for how affordable they are they do the trick. I personally would spend around 50 for a quality increase thicker foam and more sturdy construction. I went with 2 xl cases because my wife and I both carry and not small sized protection. It fit two compact sized 19 protection and 4 spare mags it also fit 2 full sized protection and one spare in the middle I also managed to somehow fit 4 pocket sized protections in one. Time will tell on the affordable build quality but for around 20 bucks you can't expect much more than this I'm happy if it holds up a couple years.

For the money these are fantastic! Yes, the wire can be easily cut with bolt cutters but so can most locks. The boxes are made strong and sturdy, and meet the legal requirements in Colorado for keeping a g_n locked in a car. The combo lock works well, very fluid and easy to set. It will definitely slow someone down from taking your valuables, and if the crook doesn’t bring the proper tools, he’d have a real problem (if not impossible) wrestling this thing out of the car and getting into this thick metal box. Highly recommend!

Got this for my ex to convince her to journal (i thought maybe if she could lock it up she would journal more. Turns out its a great size and shape for that.). Unfortunately she's a cult leader personality type and a massive narcissist so that didn't end up working out for me. But I can't deny that the product is good quality and served it's purpose well.

I have my pistol permit and as a responsible gun owner this clamshell gun safe makes it easy and convenient to keep my family safe. It’s very sturdy and allows me to open it quickly. it was very easy to set up with the code and the metal cord.

Bought for my truck. Sturdy little safe. Way more heavy duty than I was expecting. Combination was easy to set and fits perfectly under my seat. Love the extra cable provided so I can attach it and someone can't easy just pick it up and walk away. Also love that it comes with the soft egg crate material inside. Great buy for the cost!

Received this product without any combination. It's useless to me. I bought it for a graduation gift for my daughter for college so by the time I gave it to her it was past the return date.
