DETAILS + FIT OF VARIOUS COVER TYPES
We bought one of these to give as a gift but the top was a bit warped. The person receiving the frame was driven crazy by this, which was embarrassing for us as the gift givers. It may have warped while being hung up, we're not sure. We wrote the seller. They got back to us quickly, requesting a photo and said they would ship us another frame. It all went smoothly. The replacement frame was square. The wood is a bit soft and is completely unfinished. Both frames already had hardware at the center top, but also came with more hardware and screws if you wanted to attach it to your walls more solidly. The magnets work well but don't have to be forcefully pried apart. The hinges seem solid. The back is open so you can see the back cover, but it doesn't have an acrylic back which would be more protective but would probably add to the cost.Info below is added because we’ve seen a lot of people ask if the various record frames available on Amazon will hold double vinyl and/or gatefold records...A (reissued) double vinyl gatefold with the vinyl still in the cover fit with a little work. Not sure how thick or different eras of vintage vinyl might compare. The fit is tight, which might be a no-go for serious collectors as they probably aren’t wanting to squish the cover and have the frame rubbing so much when pulling records. However, it *is* possible to access the records and pull them out without removing the whole cover from the frame.A gatefold with one record is a good fit. A single record - good fit. We don't have any tri-folds, but with doubles being tight, tri-folds probably won't fit at all, even if it's just the cover you want to frame. If you plan on listening to whatever record(s) you want to frame but are worried about damaging the cover, framing is probably not for you. Anything consistently rubbing against the cover *will* cause damage eventually. Instead, maybe frame a 300 dpi scan and print of your cover. Then keep your records in clear poly album sleeves when stored to reduce the inevitable damage from rubbing.Hope this helps!

Love 'em!!!
After living 2+ years in my apartment, I finally decided to hang things on my wall (yes I'm lazy). I knew I wanted something music related so I spent hours looking online for ideas. I randomly found a photo of one of these and eventually found this product on Amazon. These are amazing frames that take no more than a couple minutes to install. You only need one nail to hang, but I recommend using the extra nails to secure the frame. The reason for this is, when you open the frame to slide the vinyl cover in/out, the frame becomes unbalanced and begins to rotate towards the heavier side. It's pretty annoying. I'm currently using one nail for these but plan on using command mounting strips (as someone else mentioned in the comments) to secure the frames. It would be great if these were included in the box as an alternative to adding more holes to your walls.I was skeptical about buying these after reading some of the comments. I realized though that most people were complaining about the paint job on the black frames. I bought the natural and couldn't be happier. The film used to protect the acrylic can get stuck on the edges when removing. It happened on two of the four frames. I was able to remove that extra plastic with some tweezers. I won't be removing a star for that.I plan on on adding two more rows of frames so you know I'm happy with my purchase!Update 1.17.2020Still Loving them! I added an extra photo with the extra two rows.

Good product
I have ordered several of these over the past 2-3 years for my vinyl collection. I love the ability to remove and replace records with ease by opening or pulling through the side, if the frame is already mounted. I used extra strong command strips to hang mine and they seem to hold well, however, one of them did fall and the hinge got bent and broke off after one fall, so unfortunately that one is not usable anymore. I also remember these frames being half the price that they are now, about a year ago, and I would say it is not worth the price increase - which is why I only gave 4 stars. I originally paid about $15-$18 a frame for this product, which is much more reasonable for quality. Overall, a decent product and great way to display your records

A piece of art
The Product: This frame is gorgeous. The natural wood props up any album cover you love and elevates it, creating instantly touchable, listenable artwork. The Build: Solid. This is real, full wood - not the IKEA cardboard painted with wood grain - real wood. If you want to give it some color, just prime and paint. I didn't because it's beautiful by itself and works well with more music. The joints are metal - small, yet strong hinges allow the door to swing smoothly. Neodymium magnets hold the door shut. The acrylic is... well acrylic. It'll hold up against an earthquake. All in all, I think this product will outlast me - unless I get a termite infestation or my home burns down (maybe both). The How To: The only criticism I can think of - it did not include a manual, but oh well - I've hung a thing or two in my life. In case you HAVEN'T, you should do what I did - install the included mounts at the lower corners to increase stability (When you're swinging the door open and closed, you don't want the frame to wobble). Use a 3/18" bit for the plastic anchors. Don't turn the screws in flush with the wall - you'll need them to jut out about 1/4 inch to latch onto the mount. Use a level. C'mon you know how to do this.

Love it
Exactly what I wanted. I love how you can still remove the vinyl to play it and keep it on the wall. Worth it and will buy more.
