This premier wood preserver is very easy to apply, it goes on smoothly with excellent coverage, i got three coats from a 5l tin of the clear wood preserver on a 9x6 shed and I've still got some left.A thin oily liquid that glides onto the timber , just got to beware of it dripping off the brush as it's quite thin but it covers really well and looks fantastic once dried.It's waterproof and protects the timber from rot, fungi and mould, the clear version doesn't protect as well against UV rays , but the colour versions do.I found it dries quite fast a couple of hours and it was completely dry, a good wood preserver for fences, sheds and other outdoor timber.Looks very good on my small pent shed, it makes the timber really stand out.

Really quick delivery. I give my shed a coating of Barrentine clear every year. It protects from rain and sun and stops the wood from ageing

Packaging was of a poor standard and the tin was dented and bulged but no leakage upon delivery. however I used this product on my new gate and fencing …it was so easy to use [plus I’m an OAP] the preservative just flowed on and I was done in no time. An excellent product

I ordered this after reading an independent testing website, who rated it in their top five! It arrived early, was very well packaged, and the person delivering it was excellent! I've only used it once so far, but it seems to be just what I wanted and expected. I chose the 'clear' because I wanted to keep the natural look of the wood. (it's a brand new shed) It was a treat to use and I would definitely buy it again. I particularly wanted an oil/spirit based product as I believe it offers better protection, and actually, I quite like the smell of it. My only gripe, is that is does tend to fly around a bit, but that was probably down to me being a bit too robust in applying it, and also on a breezy day! (but the following day there was rain in the forecast, so I had limited time to apply it) Still, I'm very happy, and it is beading the rain away beautifully! I hope you find my review helpful.
