Best desk lamp you can buy. Excels in every meaningful way.
My eyes are not what they used to be. They tire easily, particularly in the presence of glare. When I saw these lamps, which are designed to light your desk without washing out your monitors, I was pretty intrigued. The price was a bit of a shock for a desk lamp, but I had bought OTT brand lights before, which are similarly expensive. So, I decided to try one. This lamp is so much better than anything else I've used before that I purchased 3 more of them for my various work surfaces and my wife's office. The light actually delivers on the promise of not affecting the visibility of your monitors, while simultaneously lighting up the full width of your desk like no lamp I've used. Unlike the OTTs, these didn't become more annoying than helpful after a couple months of use. Those OTTs were daylight temperature fluorescent lights. The color was warmer than normal green fluorescents, but the fluorescent flicker eventually drove you crazy, if you are sensitive to that. The Good: 1. No glare on your monitor. I have 3 large monitors on my desk. None of them are affected by this desk lamp, even at full intensity. 2. Truly desk-wide illumination. The curve of the fixture allows for an even light to be spread across the entire width of a large desk if it is positioned high enough. My computer desk is about 6 feet wide. This lamp stands on one end of the desk. The adjustable neck is extended upward almost as high as it can possibly be. Every corner of the desk is well-lit. 3. The level of brightness is fully adjustable. The highest setting stops just short of becoming obnoxiously bright. The lowest setting would suit even the most light-adverse folks. It is infinitely adjustable to any level between those extremes. With my failing eyesight, I keep it on the brightest setting always. 4. The color temperature is also fully adjustable between glacier white and warm morning sunshine yellow. Different colors of light affect peoples' moods and energy levels. I personally prefer a light on the warmer side, around 3000 Kelvin, when I'm relaxing. The warm light lulls you toward eventually dozing off. But when working, I like to be closer to 4000 Kelvin. This temperature helps me stay wider awake and more productive by reducing the amber shift of the light. While everyone prefers something different, this lamp accommodates virtually everyone by letting you adjust the light infinitely between the lowest and highest temperature settings. I have even found myself adjusting it partway through the day for a boost to my waning energy levels or to reduce eyestrain. 5. Zero annoying flickering. You won't miss it a bit. The Bad: 1. Price. If you have never spent this much on a desk lamp, you may find yourself temporarily traumatized by the price of this lamp. I have to say though, it is worth the money. The flexibility and reduced eyestrain are hard to live without once you have experienced it. Overall, I highly recommend this desk lamp if you are experiencing severe eyestrain using other less-expensive, poorly-designed desk lamps. You can adjust this lamp to suit virtually any combination of brightness and color temperature you prefer. Through trial and error, you may even discover that the light you thought would help you best actually doesn't. That's the beauty of infinitely adjustable light. You aren't stuck with what you got out of the box. In my opinion, worth every penny. We love all four of ours.

High Tech Lamp
I am impressed by the build of the lamp, and the high quality of the lighting. I am using the lamp at my desk in front of a couple of monitors on stands. The lamp is very heavy and sturdy, and easily holds the position you set it up in. It is extremely adjustable and has great pivot points on the arms as well as a ball adjustment on the light head itself. The LEDs are very high quality and it easily illuminates my entire desk with high quality light that reveals details that I had not seen with my old light-including a lot of dust! The lighting itself is quite adjustable, Not only can the amount of light be dimmed but the color temperature can be adjusted between cool and warm tones. The reason it is called an e-reading lamp is it has automated modes that adjust lamp automatically for an optimal amount of lighting for your room for either reading or computer screen reading. These function very well. The look of the lamp is very cool and modern, with the swooping angle of the light head and the dramatic length of the arms. My only criticism is the dimming feature. It doesn't dim as low as I would have liked. I enjoy fairly dim light most of the time and even at its lowest setting the light was very bright. This is more of a personal preference and of course people are buying this light for work or reading but I would have liked to be able to dim it all the way to zero, like how most dimmers work. Aside from this complaint, I think it is a great lamp and a real upgrade to my work area. I think, from an eye-health perspective, having high quality lighting like this will spare my eyes from strain, which is a huge plus. I recommend this lamp if you can afford its high price. For the money, you get amazing build quality and incredible technology,

Very good overall quality!
I was on the fence with this purchase because it seemed like an expensive thing to buy without seeing first. So happy I pulled the trigger. I read many reviews stating the sturdy quality and they are all correct. The base is super heavy and so stable on the desk, which is important since my desk is an Uplift and moves up and down for sitting or standing position. The lamp is quite tall and will adjust into any possible position. But the best feature IMHO is the ability to change the temperature (color) of the light. I generally prefer a warmer light tone and this adjusts that way with the dial. Also, if you press and hold the ring that turns it on, it goes automatically to "reading" mode, which provides a soft light tone with absolutely no glare. A quick turn of the dial gets it right back to cool or warm or a combination. I have it standing pretty tall, as you can see in the pics. It does not glare like its predecessor and is easily adjustable to not shine directly into your eyes (also a problem with the previous lamp I had). I mean, look at that braided cord! Beautiful! I really can't say enough good things about it and I could not be happier. Super easy to assemble, just slide the lamp onto the base and tighten the phillips screw, see pic. Only con, if you can even call it that, is that they don't have more color options. For instance, how cool would it be to be able to choose your lamp color, base color, and cord color? Only other con, I wish I had pulled the trigger sooner. I left it in "save for later" for months. :D

An excellent desk lamp
I've owned this lamp for around 3 years, and am very happy with it. My only complaint is that the arm is still pretty stiff, so much so that I have to hold the base when adjusting it still. I would have thought that by now it would loosen up a little, but it has not. Everything else about this lamp is great, and despite the high cost I feel like you get what you pay for. I love the even illumination, the amount of light it puts out, and I absolutely love the touch to power on control. It uses premium LEDs and does not output blue light. The big metal ring that powers the light on is easy to find in the dark, and I really appreciate that at night. The construciton uses all metal and the power cord is thick and high quality. I also dig the modern style, but that's a personal preference.

Excellent lamp, good customer service
I bought two of these lamps and was loving them until the ring broke off one of them 8 months after I bought it. It was too late to return it through Amazon, but at the price I thought it should have a warranty from the company that makes these, BenQ. I took pictures of the damage and the sticker on the bottom of the lamp base, filled out a form and included proof of payment on BenQ's website, then the same form in another format, and then didn't hear from them for a couple of week. But they came through. They told me to send the lamp back via Fed Ex and gave me a postage-paid barcode to print out. I wish I had saved the original packaging to avoid having to pay for a box and some bubble wrap. A couple of weeks later, as promised, the lamp was returned, repaired. So now I'm changing my three-star rating to four stars. Definitely consider buying this lamp, but treat it carefully, especially the ring.

My Best Office Desk Lamp!!!
I brought this lamp and set up it in my office last week. This is the best office desk lamp I ever have and I'm pleased with this product. I'm used to working in front of my 27’ monitor for my journal papers and research data over 10 hrs a day. The eyestrain accompanies me for years until I use this smart desk lamp. The Pros: - Super heavy metal base. The base is heavy and solid, which you are able to adjust the lamp by just one hand. - Wide desk illumination. The curve design of head lamp allows spreading light to entire working space. The ring shape touch switch is sensitive and the round nob can adjust the brightness smoothly. - e-Smart monitor reading mode. Once you touch the metal ring switch for 2 seconds, the lighting fixture will detect the brightness of surroundings and auto-adjusted the partial brightness to reduce the reflective and contrast glare from screen. It makes my eyes conform and reduce the strain. - Easy to assemble! It is easily to assemble the body and base. - Fine fabric wire. For such a contemporary fixture, they select the fine fabric wire to decorate it become a classic one. The Cons. - $151 for a lamp? I doubted to buy a $151 lamp. I would tell you, it is worth the money. I’ve purchased another silver color for my son. No doubt! It should get 5 stars!

High-Quality Desk Lamp
Sharp-looking lamp with a lot of adjustability. Everything about the lamp feels high-quality except for its connection to the base, which seems insufficient, but actually works fine. You have to pick the lamp up with two hands, one hand on the base and the other on the swingarm because it's not attached to the base in a secure way. Spendy purchase, but I think it's worth it. I feel it has increased my productivity while working from home. The light doesn't glare on the monitor in any perceptible way. But, it can be difficult to position so that you get the right amount/breadth of light while also keeping it out of your periphery. I have mine on my monitor stand in between my two monitors, extending upward pretty far and the lamp is pointed at me. I liked that better than having it close to the top of my monitor like others seem to do. It's distracting to have a bright light just out of my area of focus. Bought a Like New used version here for $180, which seems like a good discount. Good luck!

Funky, But Really Good Quality And Useful
First impression: Funky Scandinavian style lamp with bizarre controls and appearance. Although it definitely takes some getting used to (the controls are really bizarre), I like the quirkiness of it, and appreciate the really high quality of every part of this lamp. I'm an amateur cinematographer, so I do know about light. This is a really interesting lamp in that it lets you light with tungston or daylight color tempatures (aka orange or blue) and it's a very soft diffuse light (awesome, because it nicely illuminates a pretty big area without shadows or harsh reflections etc). It's a superb light. The base is really sturdy, and goes up quite high. I can it up above my monitors, and situate it so that there is no glare on the monitors yet it illuminates the entire workspace. Much better for my eyes. Plus I think it's kinda awesome that you just touch it and it turns on/off. REAL expensive, which meant very high expectations, but they met or exceeded my high expectations.

Excellent lamp
Easy to set up and provides great lighting for my desk. The way it is designed means no shadows or dark spots around my computer or desk. Easy to adjust mode/brightness. Highly recommended.

COSTO: presa a 185€. E' tanto?
