This works for me - but will you always be on grass? Ideal. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hama 700 Tripod *by L***O on 5 June 2013* I needed something with height to support binoculars for plane spotting. These do not reach head height, but if you purchase 3 equal-length metal pipes/tubes, measure-up to the 3rd leg clamp, bore holes to fit screws/butterflies, and slide onto the legs, you have extra extension. Reverse the adjustable tilt-head so that it raises, rather than lowers, and attach your bins. You now have a good platform to track moving aircraft. This is a very light- weight piece of kit, but folds-down to nothing and is easily transportable. Most reviews say that it is not ideal for windy conditions. This would be correct in regards to photographic accuracy, but not so much for "mobile" spotting. As one reviewer said, just tie something twixt the legs to add some ballast, and it's fine. Compact to carry, easy to assemble, and extremely cheap.
