Strong Rack Server Case with Tons of Drive Slots.
Overall, I am happy with this server case, but there are a few things you should know if you plan to order it. The most noticeable thing is that the connectors for the hard drive LED and the power LED are reversed so the power led is labeled as HDD LED and vis-versa. Other reviewers have pointed this out as well. It may not be every case, but itโs happened more than once. The wiring +/- on both plugs are also reversed. You could spend time extracting the pins and putting them in the correct connectors and the correct polarity or you can just note the incorrect labeling and install them as needed. Next I would comment, the case top-cover screws are very short and very tiny so use caution not to cross thread or over-tighten. Lastly, I found the cross bar does add structure. Without the crossbar the case can shift out-of-square a little misaligning the mounting holes for the drive bays, so I suggest leaving it on as much as possible. Especially if moving it. The one fan in the case uses a standard hard drive plug so you will probably want to replace it with a 3 or 4 pin proper case fan. I know I did. For the motherboard stand-offs, there should be 8 matching the ATX form factor. This case has all 8 but for some odd reason one was too short. Luckily a brass stand-off added on top of the shorty made it the perfect height matching the others ( Measured with a micrometer, it landed in perfect height with the other 7.) Now for the good news. The case is very heavy and strong. The rack mounting holes lined up perfectly for me. You need rails or a shelf to put it on. It is that heavy. I happen to have a slide-out flat rack-shelf already in place. I set it on the shelf, slid it in and it all lined up perfectly. The 7 HDD bay is one of the main reasons I chose this case and itโs working well for me. The 7-drive cage is pretty close tolerance. If you need 2.5โ adapter, I can tell you this one worked from Mougerk Store (sold here on Amazon). The Cable-Matters adapter was too tight in the cage so not usable in this case. The 3.5โ spinning drives all fit like a glove and no issues. For a CPU cooler you need one thatโs no more than 6 inches tall. Side CPU Cooler fan is best. I used this one: Dynatron Q11P Cooler for Intel 4U Server. sold here on Amazon (see photo). I removed all the factory break-away slot covers and that was very easy to do. Iโve heard some cases are difficult. ** Do it BEFORE you put your motherboard in. I installed screw-on slot covers made by Rimoev sold here on Amazon. This was done fore future proofing so if/when I add an another expansion card, it will be very easy.

SOLID build and quite good
I got this to replace my PC case, Everything fit like a glove. Some points to consider: Cons: - It only holds up to 2x 2.5'' SATA drives - There's not obvious points for fan mounting - You need to buy 2x60mm fans for the back of the case to move air out of the case. - Front fan isn't loud but it also isn't very powerful - Front handles are too large (Can't close doors on rack) Pros: - Large format GPUs will fit - Front USB ports seem to have been upgraded to 3.1 - Full ATX PSU fits with ample space

Great case, whish it had rails!
Bought this case to replace a tower case that was sitting in my wall mount rack awkwardly taking up space. Initial impressions are the build quality better than expected, the sheet metal is fairly thick and sturdy. The case was easy to work in with ATX MOBO and PSU as well as 8 HDDs on the rail. A few downsides, USB is only 2.0, the pre-installed fan is fairly noisey but just tossed in a noctua 120mm I had. Also, disappointed that Rackchoice doesn't sell a rail kit for this case (At least can't find one). All and all, this 4u rack mount case is something I've wanted for awhile, and I'm happy I finally got it!

Good case for my desktop computer
I wanted to move my desktop computer to my homelab server rack to save space. Rails are coming tonight so it's not installed yet but I did confirm it fits fine in standard 3u slot. There weren't many options for server case that would fit a full atx mobo and a full sized atx psu. As per the pictures they all fit with no issues. Hard drive cage can be removed easily if you have a longer graphics card (it's about 16 inches of space and my card is 11 inches. I always go with noctua fans and toss out any case fans. All the screws come with it except cage nuts (which i have a million of anyway). I had to get a lower profile cpu fan/heatsink. The one pictured is be quiet pore rock slim 2. My old one was 6.5 inches and there is roughly 6.25 inches clearance from cpu to the case cover. Find a cpu heatsink under 6 inches. The pcie power cord does fit but just barely with the lid on. I'm worried it will put slight downward pressure on the graphics card over time so I have a 90 degree adapter coming tomorrow (just search 90 degree pcie adapter and there are some 10-15 dollar options). It's very solid and a bit heavier than I expected. Not a pro or a con necesarily. When I tried to install without rails it was heavy enough to make it hard to manage. Def need some server rails with the weight of this tank. Not much else to say. Its a solid case and doesn't break the bank.

It's functional, if not basic.
I needed a new rack mount case to move an older i7 9700K based PC into for use as a backup and transcoding server running Unraid. I didn't want to spend a whole lot so I figured I'd take a chance at this case. As it turns out, it was perfectly fine for this purpose, even with a few shortcomings. If you are planning to use this with just lots of drives for storage, space should not be an issue but cable management might be a bit of a pain. In my case, I am using an RTX 2080TI for transcoding and other things and it would only fit because I only have four 3.5" drives installed. If you are fully populating the drive bays, you will need a shorter card. The usual caveats apply for inexpensive cases; a cheap noisy fan included using molex (!), punch outs for the PCI cards, and a slightly off fit where the motherboard is off angle by a couple of millimeters inside the case. And not surprisingly, cable management isn't outstanding. I did order a couple of Noctua 60mm fans for the rear and will likely just keep the el cheapo in the front since this server is going to be living in the rack in a furnace room in my basement so I don't have to hear it. I'm not going to hold these shortcomings against it being that it's one of the cheapest cases I could find but just an FYI. I had to take off the side rabbit ears since this case is on a set of Startech rack rails and doesn't line up with the rack properly. Not a huge deal in my situation. This case is probably good enough for many purposes. Update - 2025-01-22: I replaced the cheap front fan with a Noctua 120mm. Turns out I could hear the cheap fan whining every from down the hall in my office. Server is quite quiet now using one 120mm and two 600mm Noctua fans.
