Using the slimline cdrw is a great way to copy music and films to cd/dvd its easy plug and play design is great as you don't need to add lots of running operations on your device. Its simple and easy to use great looking light weight and stylish. Great piece of gear would highly recommend it to anybody else

Seems a good piece of kit, it was not expensive and does the job for which I wanted it, it's quite compact so doesn't take up too mush desk space, has a good finish and works well, I download into iTunes and it is fine with that operating through Windows 10

Bought this to go with my new notebook which does not have a built in drive.This drive is powered by the single USB port and is plug and play.Read/write speeds are very good.It's very quiet and easy to use.Can store away easily in my laptop bag.Very good product, build quality is excellent.

Had this product for 7 months of which it only has a month return policy.This CD DVD Drive is very on and off for me. Sometimes it will rip an entire CD Music to FLAC without issue, other times it will complete 50% of the CD and fail. Other times it will just spin up, make a dur dur dur noise then stop and repeat until it finally gives in. I regret not returning it immediately as this has been an issue from when I brought it. However most of the CD's I attempted at first worked fine, and then would work again later. I thought this might be a driver issue or a 'funny five minutes'. I was wrong. The CD's themselves are always brand new, as I purchase music CD's and rip then store.If the device had been reliable I would have said it was a fair price, and quite easy to use. However the device has quite a heft to it compared to it's competitors models. Even when in working operation the device is slow, even against lesser models.

Looking for an external dvd player was pretty tricky since not many will work on a Windows 10 device but this one works just fine with it! It does have some issues in that it'll not always work on the first go, often you slide the tray back in, the disc starts playing and then the tray pops out of its own accord so you have to start all over again, unplug it from the laptop, open the tray, connect it to the laptop again then shove the tray closed again but regardless of that it works with windows 10 so I'm not complaining!

Great device at a low cost. Having recently fitted a USB 3 card to my tower PC, I decided to ditch the old USB 2 DVD Writer and get myself a new one. Because this new writer draws power from the USB 3 connection, no additional power supply is needed. One less length of cable at the back of the computer getting tangled and gathering dust!

Needing to recover old files that were stored on a rewritable disc, this provided the DVD reader, that was missing on my newer lap top. Files were easily found read and downloaded onto the lap top. A good price and a perfect solution.

Bought this over 2 years ago but didn't really use it much until lockdowns last year when I wrote a lot of DVD archives. It now fails to read most DVDs. It gets 2 stars because it's cheap and worked OK for a while. As usual, you get what you pay for. Trading up to branded blu ray writer.
