4 QTY All in One Mushroom Grow Kits 5 LBS Rye Grain and Compost Substrate

Two weeks ago on the day they arrived I inoculated 4 bags with three different varieties, same variety in two bags, and all four bags are starting to colonize to one extent or another depending on variety. No sign yet that the bags will go bad so I'm happy for now. I'm hoping to see full colonization in one bag in another week and another two weeks for the other varieties. Kinda slow for optimum growth but that's nature and it has it's own timetable. As long as you follow cleanliness, temperature, and light level guidelines for the variety you are growing you should be good. I contacted the company about local pickup and as long as you order ahead and make sure they will be open the day you want to pick up you're golden.I'm hesitant to give a 5 star rating for the product so early in the process, it could go up or down in the future. As long as they don't resort to shortcuts in the preparation process I don't see why they won't continue to be a good supplier.As to the "thickness" rating I'm going duhhh, what's that got to do with this product?Update. So far I've had 3 bags go bad after inoculating the day they arrived. I "re-potted" the fourth bag and so far it's surviving. I'm thinking the prep work isn't up to par, moisture level too high, not long enough in the sterilization period, gnats somehow got into a bag probably from eggs in the manure, rye not dry enough. In other words they hurried up the process too much. It's a good Idea just not ready for prime time.

So far they’re great I inoculated with no contamination so the bags are obviously well sterilized.....EXCEPT one bag had this big ass beetle eat it’s way out of it lol and it was at the bottom of the box but I mean what’s are the odds of that so I won’t take points off for it I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t be ordering through them again but hopefully customer service can help a guy out.

3 of the 4 bags on my first order were contaminated ... The Sent another 4 bags to my home and there has been no growth at all ...Ive never seen that before.....no growth ....Anyways it seems to me these guys may have a problem with quality control . Buy from these guys at your own risk....

Two bags have worked great the other two have done nothing but have the rye turn to mush in the first week it’s hard to give a good review when half is not usable the rye was wet stuck together

Been using this brand only, everything else molds quickly. If you keep everything steril, you wont have any problems. Just ordered 4 more, and will be ordering more soon. Company will make custom bags if you need also. High temp + humidity to inoculate and substrate grow. Then cut the top off and remove the heat but keep as much humidity as possible to fruit. As simple and easy as it gets. Never had a single problem with contamination, only one time after opening the bag but that was 100% my fault.

1 bag has become contaminated (giving the benefit of the doubt, this could have been my fault), 2 bags turned to mush and it’s unclear if they will produce but they are not looking good, and 1 bag is growing flawlessly. Would be a great value if half the bags weren’t mush.

Haven't fruited the bags yet but appears the rye is properly hydrated and sterile. All 4 bags showing good growth and all about the same speed. Will update after first fruit.Edit: These bags worked great, had 100% success rate and was able to fruit all 4 bags
