Q: Please explain the difference in "pasture based" for the casein and "grass-fed" for the whey?

Hi R.E.A., thanks for your question. We use the term "grass-fed" to refer to our California based whey that is grass-fed year round because of the climate/location of the farms in Northern California. Our Casein protein requires a separate production facility located in the mid-west. Our mid-west partner farms are "pasture-based" meaning the cows are on pasture in the warmer months but due to the weather come inside where the are fed grasses harvested from the fields they graze on during the warmer months. We want to use the terms to differentiate between the two. For pasture based we schedule production around the months the cows are on pasture. Please email us if you have any other questions. Great casein, take it at night to get the best results.

Q: Why does it say only one ingredient when it has added lecithin?

Lecithin is added in small amount to make mixing easier. Not a significant nutrient.
