Great, with a remap of the buttons.
This controller works great, it's amazing for 2d games. That being said, the initial button layout feels... wrong, if you feel this way too, fret not, there is a solution, first on your xbox or pc, you must download the accompanying app, which allows you to remap the buttons to your heart's content. The only other thing I might add, is if you have a 4k monitor for your pc, and you are trying to remap the controls, and find yourself unable to finalize it, go to your display options and make the ui scale 250% or lower, as at Windows' default scale for 4k (300%) the buttons will not show up. I have not used the xbox version of the app.

Saturn meets Xbox!
I have always been a fan of the Saturn controller layout and feel. Probably one of my favorite D-Pad only controllers of all time. I also have the Bluetooth version of this exact controller which is great for retro gaming on PC and even the switch! But the original M30 didn't work on Xbox sadly. Along comes this guy! The exact controller but with Xbox compatibility and home buttons! Works fantastic as most 8bitdo controllers do and its wired so NO LAG! Again love the feel and the ability to still use in home screen with dedicated Xbox buttons. No more switching controllers mid thru. My only gripe is that although my standard Xbox controllers work on Android... this one does not. Not sure why since its setup for Xbox. Maybe there might be a firmware update later but that's my only negative one this one. Otherwise fantastic!

Quite good, and a great D-Pad!
Comfortable, works well, and of course most importantly - The D-Pad is very nice. It rivals that of one of my favorite controllers. It feels better than several other Saturn style pads I've tried recently, including the official Saturn controller. 8Bitdo makes good stuff!

Works great
I love the 8bitdo brand. I purchased this for my Sega retro system and it works great. 6 buttons, like the original. If your looking for retro controllers, or a nice modern system controller, you can't go wrong with this brand. they make great stuff.

I'll take a refund!
I remember liking the original M30s when they first came out originally for PC and the Sega Genesis. But guess what? I'll always go back to my Sega Saturn OG Model 2 pads for PC and even my OG 6 button Genesis. What went wrong with this one? I have no idea. Maybe having to readjusting to this tiny controller again? All I know, once I can't do my charge moves with my favorite characters such as Blanka, the dpad is the absolute s***s. I remember not struggling doing charge moves with the first M30s when they first came out. This one? Too many issues and can't perform certain moves when those moments count. Sometimes I'll just jump randomly when I didn't want to. There is def. a diagonal issue going with the dpad. Or perhaps just mine in general? Meh, going back to the M30 made me hate it. How small it is has become a turn off.It wouldn't matter because eventually as the other M30s, their C type connector ports will eventually loose up and it'll randomly disconnect the controller. It will happen with this one. I don't know why they didn't do an official wired controller or just a wireless one. Makes zero sense. I'm sure they'll do a wireless one to milk more money from us but not me. I won't bother with their little tiny fightpads anymore.Next time do a bigger and bulkier fightpad please. I understand you're trying to sell these on the cheap but I think with an extra 10 bucks, an improved and better molded dpad (it's horribly cheap and just like the original M30, it will start squeaking and rubber grease will be needed to stop the noises), better spacing for the buttons, and going with either a wired/wireless would be perfect. Not everyone has tiny hands.Retrobit Sega Saturn PRO Wireless controller has been fantastic on PC for me. I wish Brook converters would do a firmware update on that and that would be the best controller to compliment the XBOX and other retro consoles too. Retrobit just needs to fix the PC issues such as button mapping and it'll be perfect. Whenever Brook does an update, I'll buy the XB converter. Retrobit is a far worst company than 8bitdo. I've always praised 8bitdo but they messed up big time with this one. They need to go back to the drawing boards and redesign this fightpad. It isn't cute anymore. One last word, this isn't better than the Sega Saturn Model 2 pad. Whoever says that, never or rarely played a Sega Saturn. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM!
