MUCAR OBD2 Scanner, Car Scanner with 28 Reset Services and Engine System, Scan Tool for Car and Update Free Lifetime

I figured out how to program new remotes and have programmed more than 4 remotes to different cars that only had one remote. I tried to get a scanner that can primarily have that function to program new car remotes and keys and this is it. I have also diagnosed my 97 nissan pickup that for years mechanics couldnt diagnose the problems. It helped me and I installed the parts myself. My brothers that live far away were surprised that it helped me so much and this machine over exceeded our expectations. I love that it gives suggestions and what parts need relacing. I can connect to the internet using my phones Hotspot anywhere. after, I can also watch youtube videos to see how to install the parts. It was well worth it. I have correctly diagnosed more than 7 cars with this so far. Programmed keys and remotes with it. I already got my money back after 1 programming of remotes and on diagnose of a car. The dealership tried to charge my friend 150.00 for each additional key fob. I am a woman and found the ease of use and the speed I finished the tasks very helpful.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I do a lot of DIY repairs at home, I have a 2015 Silverado and I did not have a key fob for years and as soon this landed I had to know if I can program a key and within seconds of booting it up from the box I plugged it in, selected the feature and it put my truck in learning mode where I then programmed the key SUCCESSFULLY, then I hooked it up to my buddy’s F150 and did a entire health system check and was able to retrieve the factory keyless door pin for his 06, I mean this tool was responsive and did more then what it needed to do, definitely punches high for the price point, I made my money back on the key programming feature, Chevy wanted 200$ plus whatever the cost of the key is, I got a 10$ fob and this scanner and I’m set for as long as I got this scanner for, I will say I wish I had a case for it as it seems not really durable but don’t toss it around and you’ll be fine!! *no update needed, no subscription, just plug and play*

Almost perfect, it lacks a more complete general scan. But its programming options are the ones that I use the most of this device, for scanning, I usually use another brand.

I purchased this scanner, and it only worked about three times. Thereafter, the scanner would only light up and do nothing. The manufacturer Mucar's customer service is HORRIBLE. After two months of emailing and chats they did NOT offer me any resolution. I have NEVER experienced the run-around treatment like this in my entire life. I didn't know this company is out of the country and reaching a live person is impossible. On the other hand, Amazon has been very understanding and supportive. In my opinion, this product is GARBAGE. This is the worst scan tool I have ever owed. I have about seven of them including a Mac tools scanner. A warranty is only as good and the manufacturer behind it. Why offer a one-year warranty, if you have no intentions of honoring it? They had me attempt to reprogram, flash, install various drivers, etc. and NOTHING WORKED. Why should I have to endure hours of frustrations only to be told by Mucar to contact the Seller (Amazon). Mucar should have replaced or refunded the scanner per their advertised warranty. Never again.

The MUCAR CS90 will not help in finding a leak in the EVAP system. It will only tell you if there is a problem. It doesn't allow me to close the purge valve or the vent valve on a 2007 Pontiac G5 though you can with other scan tools. You can't do a smoke test if the EVAP system isn't sealed. Other than seems alright and will likely do the 28 services it claims.

This actually works great. Worth the money. Actually help me discover and issue i had for months. Even tell you exactly in plain English without me google search the codes. Easy to use. Check all the lights and whistles.

I purchased this so that I can program my smart key in my 2011 Nissan Xterra and it actually worked just fine. It took about an hour to figure out and I needed some code from an external website but otherwise it did the job and saved tons of money. The diagnostics function works alright but is dependent on the type of vehicle it is used on and what features are supported. Check website for exact features. Some vehicles do basic obd2 only while others do a ton of things.
