Love this baby gate! We want a baby gate to separate my son's toy area where he could still see us give him his own personal space and this baby gate does just that! He can still see us and the baby gate is adjustable depending on our needs. Great deal and awesome baby gate!Update:Let me simply start off by saying that I wanted the best of the best when it came time to buy our first baby gate for our son, and so, I did the research! After reading numerous reviews on the pros and cons of what felt like hundreds of baby gates I finally settled on my top five! My idea was to buy them all, inspect in person the quality and safety of each gate and then make my decision accordingly.The top 5 options were:1. Regalo Easy Step Arched Décor Walk Thru Baby Gate2. Summer Infant Multi-Use Decorative Extra Tall Walk-Thru Gate3. Regalo Easy-Open Wide Baby Gate4. Evenflo Soft and Wide Gate, Emery (this one!)5. Regalo Super Wide Adjustable Gate and Play YardI wanted to make sure to take multiple things into account such as security, safety, various wall attachments and extensions (if any), pressure mounted baby gates versus free standing, the ability for my little one to see me, the ease and functionality of the gate and the ability for it to work safely and securely with my staircase. I did decide to get a longer baby gate to get a wide variety of options as well!Overall, my experience can tell you that this is definitely one of my favorite baby gates, hands down - so if you want to ignore the rest, go ahead and do so and just buy this gate already!! If not, keep reading :).The Summer Infant Multi-Use Decorative Extra Tall Walk-Thru Gate was very pretty in person, a lovely bronze color and had a beautiful arch. It installs easy, comes with all necessary pieces to pressure mount or screw it in to your wall etc. This baby gate felt very safe initially. Only downfall, the mechanism at the bottom that prevents the baby gate from swinging in the wrong direction broke off easily and not long after purchasing it! Also, my roommates felt it was one of the most difficult to open and because of the tension from what I can only assume is a self closing feature, it seemed somewhat dangerous when it quickly swung back at us with intense pressure! After using this one for months I would definitely say it was my least favorite and came in the #5 spot.The Regalo Easy-Open Wide Baby Gate was a solid, sturdy and well built baby gate that again came with every imaginable piece to safely install it depending on your needs. I felt as though it lasted a decently long time before the handle mechanism broke - even after this is still worked just with it's quirks. This was a simple white baby gate and did a great job but I'd rate it #4.The Evenflo Soft and Wide Gate in Emery was the perfect median of all of the baby gates. It adjusts to fit a large variety of spaces easily and felt impressively secure considering this bonus feature. (Most baby gates are not wide enough for certain doorways hence the extender bars which can sometimes make them too wide so this was an awesome choice for fitting those pain in the butt spaces!) I really enjoyed that my son could see me through this gate and I ended up using it to separate his play area from our living room. This one gets my #3 rating!The Regalo Super Wide Adjustable Gate and Play Yard is simply a beast of a baby gate. This thing is awesome!!! It self stands and can be configured in so many ways and is so sturdy and secure. I could go on and on - I LOVE this baby gate. We ended up using this baby gate to keep our little dude away from the fire place. Literally not one negative about it - but keep in mind, my search for a baby gate was for the top of the staircase, which is why this one came in the #2 spot!The Regalo Easy Step Arched Décor Walk Thru Baby Gate (this one!) trumped all and came in first place for me! (Although I did enjoy various features of the other gates for different purposes!) This gate is extremely well made, so sturdy and safe, connected beautifully to my wall and provided my little guy with the safest option for the tip of our stairs! My husband couldn't push this thing down if he tried! It's THAT secure. (That being said we did purchase stair rail adapters that worked the absolute best with this gate! Also highly recommend!) This gate is both functional, easy to use, absolutely beautiful and has withstood the test of a now 2 and 4 year old in addition to multiple roommates when others continued to break. Highly recommend!

I purchased this extra wide gate for a 52" doorway. We needed something to keep an ageing cat out of certain rooms of the house so my review pertains for use as a pet gate used exclusively for cats.There are several things that I really love about this product:1. It's a super easy tool-less installation. Initially you have to roll the fabric over the longer extending poles but that is easy.2. The fabric is well-stitched together & covers any areas of concern on the frame that small cat mouths & paws could get a hold of.3. The mesh fabric draws tight & the whole fabric ensemble can't be pushed outside or out of place by determined kitties testing the waters, not to mention a nice safety feature to prevent cats from getting stuck.4. The extending rods can be set to length separately, which is different to another solid gate that I have. I like this because to get the gate low enough to prevent a cat getting underneath it you have to get the bottom rod as close to the floor as possible. In our case that has meant the bottom rod has to go between base-boards of a doorway whereas the top rod goes between the door frames or wall, the difference in width can be an inch or so. The Envenflo gate fits snugly top AND bottom & the flexibility of the fabric easily accommodates the width difference.5. When using as a pet gate for cats one consideration is that the cat can simply jump over it. Although I haven't seen either of our cats try it at least one of them could (they can see through the mesh fabric so it's possible they just don't deem it solid enough to try). So keep in mind what furniture is near the gate that would encourage an agile cat to try it - it's definitely not deep enough to perch on top of but the rod could be used as a lever-point by the cat. Fortunately, the rods tighten against the doorframes very tightly so if a cat did try to get over it the rod would probably hold up very well, & if it did get knocked over under the weight/force of the cat it would simply clatter to the ground & scare kitty, not harm him/her.6. Another thing I love about the gate is that it is so easy to move! If we have guests coming & want to block off a different room it's so easy. We recently had to move temporarily into another house & this gate was the easiest to use amongst the several that we own. And it is very portable - you can partially disassemble & roll it up to no less than 6" diameter (although no accessories are provided for this). This might be a useful thing if you have a small dog that accompanies you to a lot of places.7. Fabric means washable so easy to clean & sanitise if there are any accidents.

What I love about this gate:- Easy to assemble, took me less than 10 minutes- Easy to adjust, the two main poles twist to adjust in length- The netting is durable and not a complete eye sore- Hold in place well, my kid likes to run into the netting for fun and it doesn't budge out of place- Price, it's cheap but doesn't act cheapWhat I dislike- Obviously you get what you pay for, it doesn't have a door in the middle so it's ideal for an area where you don't have to jump over it every 10 minutes. I put it in a high traffic area of our house, between the kitchen and our livingroom. Big mistake, I'm jumping over this thing ALL the time and it has become a huge inconvenience. ***If you are overweight and can't lift your legs very high a lot this is NOT for you, my mother in law dreads this thing and it's quite hilarious to watch her go over it :D

I bought this because I needed something to block off a wider hallway (55 inches) when my baby started to walk. It is easy to assemble, sturdy and easy to take down and move to different locations when I want to. It is the perfect option for someone that wants flexibility. It can also be used longer term in the same location if you prefer. We have a dog and it also works well to block him from different spaces if you want, although that was not the purpose for us.

Product arrived on time. Was exactly as the description. Very easy to install. There's no way our two labradors will push it over or jump it. Very satisfied.

Best purchase ever!!! A fabulous alternative to baby or puppy gates that is not hideous! Super easy to set up and take down, no nails or tools required. A super huge range for different door widths, fits our stairs to! Doesn’t fall once put up, doesn’t mark or scratch either. If you have a baby, the upper tube is padded which is good extra protection incase it ever fell. It’s a bit heavy but not awful, highly recommend these gates!
