Soak Minisoak Travel Pack-Assorted

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I always travel with a few packs of travel laundry detergent for emergencies. I ran out of my previous brand and decided to try these Soak packs. I’m SO GLAD that I did!! My daughter spilled a whole lot of bright orange chili oil on my light pink cashmere sweater while she was eating. I tried laundering it at our AirBnB (we used the detergent sheet provided by the AirBnB, machine wash gentle cycle). The stain (and the smell) remained on the sweater and I thought for sure the sweater was ruined. Then I tried handwashing in the sink with the Soak. I agitated the sweater in the water and squeezed a few times then left it to soak for 15 mins. I could tell the detergent was working to pull the oil out of the sweater because after 15 mins there was a thin film of orange oil around the edges of the water in the sink. So I drained the water, refilled the sink, used another packet of Soak, agitated and squeezed, let it sit for another 15 mins. There was more orange oil film so I repeated one more time. This time there was no oil film after the soak and I took the sweater out to dry. The stain and odor are totally gone. The detergent is amazing and it was very little effort. Buy it.

This is one of those items that are a SUPER-SPECIFIC buy. When traveling without reasonable access to a washer/dryer, these work well for small loads or delicates. You can see the water get dingy during the soaking time. The scents were pleasant and not overwhelming. You don't really smell them after the clothes dry. I'm glad I got these for a 15-day trip with adults and kids. I do have to say, when I did not wear gloves and I went to rinse the clothing (I know it's supposed to be no-rinse necessary, but c'mon! I can't let the stuff sit on there), my hands felt tingly and did dry out afterwards. Try to minimize contact with the soap if you have dry hands.

Bought as a "sampler" set for Soak brand to see what scent I'd like to buy. I used this before at a friend's place when I needed to wash something the night to use the next day and I really liked it. I occassionally hand-wash things so a no-rinse, handwash detergent is perfect. My friend had "lacey" which was nice, but wanted to try the other scents before committing to a full-size. The assorted pack has all the scents except the unscented and wild mint, which is unfortunate since I love minty scents and also unscented products. I'm not the biggest fan of the outer packaging, which is a hard plastic box. I feel like it could be one of those ziplockable bag-type ones to carry them all, but each individual package is good for its purpose, which is to be tossed in a bag for traveling. It's expensive for the number of samples (8 for about $11). I would only recommend this set as a trial set... but they do have the $48 mini soak set for $48 which is still expensive, but cheaper per/unit... The product itself is nice. It's not a cheap! But I think they work and the no-rinse seems to be truly no-rinse. Some produts say you don't need to rinse and I feel like I need to rinse, but not with Soak.

I use the Soak brand at home for my merino wool clothing. It’s a lot easier to travel with these packets than a potentially leaking travel bottle. They are rather pricey though but worth it to me for the convenience.

These were excellent for cleaning clothes in the sink while traveling. Highly recommend!

I’ve been using Soak liquid hand wash soap for a couple of years now for my fine washables, sweaters, scarves, and even my dog’s sweaters. Soak does a great job of cleaning clothes and the light scent tends to dissipate as the items dry. Just soak and then I gently squeeze the water out. No need to rinse. I don’t twist my clothing. Just squeeze out the excess water the best I can. Then lay flat to dry ensuring I have hand-smoothed any wrinkles. My clothing comes out looking great, colors don’t fade and no shrinkage. I bought this box of individual wash packets for my upcoming business trips overseas. These will be great for handwashing in hotel room sink as well as give me an opportunity to try different scents without committing to a full size bottle of a scent I’ve not tried previously.

Bought these for a long backpacking trip for places without laundry facilities. One of these packets in the hotel sink would wash a sink full of pretty gross clothes (I would rinse them in water first to get out some dirt). They smell great and true to their claim I didn’t rinse out the detergent and my clothes didn’t feel stiff or like they had any residue.

Worked great, perfect for travel, loved the scents in the package. Especially perfect for my delicates. Will be purchasing a larger bottle for use at home

Only 6 packets - not the 8 advertised and seller will not send outstanding. Product itself is useful for traveling and cleaning bras. Simple to use and overall great to keeping things fresh. Product may not be strong enough to remove some paste-based deodorant marks.

As a recovering knitter, I have known and used soak for a long time for hand knit items, but have transitioned to washing much of my hand-wash items with it! The scents are gentle, and the soap is effective for leaving a clean, fresh garment. I recently bought the mini soak packages for some extended travel, and managed to wash a sweater, socks, undergarments, and a blouse in the sink at a hotel with one packet. Got me through the rest of my trip, and saved me hunting down a laundromat! Soak FTW! Will always travel with a mini soak packet now just in case.
