overpriced
Ive been using microdermaneedle rollers for a few years now, and needed a new one so jumped at the chance to try out this one; I usually get one that costs less than £10 and Ive always been curious about these higher price ones.Basically, the roller is identical to the cheaper tools; it comprises a sturdy handle which is comfortable to hold, a drum roller which moves freely and houses the tiny sharp needles, and comes in a simple but hygenic storage case to stand it in when not in use.The gel serum is a clinical, modern looking pump dispenser - three pumps delivers enough to cover the whole face - filled with a clear, fragrance free gel like substance. The gel is a little waxy and odd, but disappears on the face almost instantly with no greasy residue or tacky feel. All the kit is delivered in an expensive looking, high quality gift/ presentation box - which makes the whole thing look very professional.However.Ultimately theres a lot - I mean in context, a LOT - of wasted cardboard; and while its lovely packaging, its completely unnecessary. The roller as Ive said is identical to £10 ones, in every way, so the remaining cost must lie on the gel and packaging. And honestly I dont think the gel is worth it. I thought I might notice a difference given that Im already a roller - but the only difference I experienced is that when using the gel, I repeatedly got little white spots on the areas of treatment; which I dont get when using a vitamin C or hyaluronic acid (both of which again you can usually pick up for less than £10)So for me - an overpriced version of the roller and a serum which when used without the roller is fine, but nothing special; when used with, gave me spots!Rollers are amazing, and I cant recommend them enough; the experience isnt exactly delightful, but the results are subtle-but-astounding - but I honestly cant recommend this pack over a cheaper roller and simple HA serum.

A good product (if you beleive in the magic of the Serum) - but better value can be had buying seperately.
Whilst I actually like this kit from Swiss Clinic, I’m afraid there are simply too many slight negatives at play to warrant anything more than 3 stars. Near all reviewers have gone through the process and what it aims to achieve so mine will focus more on what you get for that quite hefty £90 price tag. The answer is sadly, not a lot. Firstly there is the roller – well this is OK, good in fact, using surgical steel pins which you can really feel penetrate the skin (albeit it to 0.5mm) and quite robust. Problem is that for £90 I’d expect the handle to be of sturdier construction and definitely not made of plastic – in the hand this feels light as a feather and just doesn’t feel like a premium product. As there are so many of these rollers on the market (at far cheaper prices) unless you are convinced by the serum’s efficacy, then why stick with this combo? Then there is the serum itself – well you get an extremely long list of ingredients including Beta-glucans, hydroxyprolislane N and vitamins E and C all of which are designed to stimulate collagen production and strengthen the immune system. It's supposed to help skin regeneration, healing and smooth dry and cracked skin. Swiss clinic also claim it “improves the healing of minor skin damage, promotes the rapid and effective healing of burns and gets rid of eczema and fungus”. All good, except that like the roller there are hundreds of brands containing these ingredients (and more) and once again for far less outlay. As for the claim to get rid of fungus – well if I had a fungus growing on my face, I’d be rushing to the doctor, not Swiss Clinic! So, in practice I used the roller for 10 days every night, first 5 with SC’s serum, next with my own (Indeed Labs Retinol Reface Retinol Skin Resurfacer Serum), both delivered the desired effect in the sense that my skin next day looked and felt clearer, softer, more vibrant etc, but after using the Indeed Labs serum (which cost £20), I’d say that the effect was far more noticeable - I could "feel" the tightening of those pores. Ergo the 3 stars, a good product a good serum, but nothing that stands this out from the crowd and in my opinion, half of the price is down to the brand name & sadly not the product.

Don't worry, it doesn't hurt!
While this may be quite comfortably situated in the expensive category, there is some truth to the old adage, you get what you pay for. This is a very good quality roller and the serum seems to be working minor wonders! The weight and finish of the roller itself are very satisfying and despite the concerns you may naturally have, the microneedles are pretty much entirely painless. My wife has found that she prefers to use this after her nightly shower before bed and it has had a noticeable impact on her skin, which is now much softer and less saggy She couldn't be happier with it.

Some positive results but too much work for me
This is a nice, heavy, high quality product. But ultimate I don't think that microrollers are for me. I am in my mid-thirties and was keen to try this product, particularly on my forehead where I have more wrinkles than I would like! My impression after trying out the microroller initially was that it wasn't that uncomfortable -- it felt a bit prickly and odd afterwards, but it wasn't painful or unpleasant to do. And I did think I could see some results. But ultimately the results weren't dramatic enough for me to want to continue to do this for longer than six weeks. I find the whole production a bit time-consuming (I am the kind of woman who, alas, doesn't usually even bother with moisturiser. Maybe this is why I have wrinkles. On the other hand, they do come to us all...) Having read some of the reviews on here, I may give it a try with another serum and see if that is any more effective.

Unexpected results
I was very suspicious about this at first, but I’ve been using it for 5 days now and two people have commented on how healthy and luminous my skin looks - it looks the same to me, but I don’t usually get comments like this - so based on this, I am happy to rate this 5 stars. It’s not pleasant to use at first, especially on your forehead, but you will get used to it after a few days.
