The lid is great for saute. The pot is very heavy but so worth it for contained long oven roasting like the giant 8 pound bone-in ham I used it for first. It works perfectly for bread boules with crispy crust and fully baked interiors. I waited a long time for this quality piece of kitchen must have and it's price is reasonable. Love the soft green unique color.

I have used this a few times already. My pot roast came out perfectly. I used it for my corned beef for St. Patrick's Day, it also came out perfect. The roast is so tender it falls apart and is full of flavor. I highly recommend. The color is beautiful too.

I unfortunately did not read the cleaning directions and ended up washing the pot in my dishwasher. A definite no no. So I had to look up how to season the pot. I made stew in it and have also roasted a chicken.
