I got this as a gift for a family member who loves elephants, and they were really happy with this gift. They set it up for us all to see, and I have to say that it was even more cute in person. The light gives off a soft, warm glow that adds a nice coziness to the room. Also, I loved that the product wasn't bulky. It was very lightweight. Made for a wonderful gift.

Initially, I was impressed by the quality of the elephant itself, and I'll admit that is the only aspect of the product I disliked. Similar to others, the elephant doesn't look appealing when it's not lit, but it's pretty gorgeous when it is. Considering the product is meant to be lit, this is a good thing, though I do think it should look better, personally, considering the price. But these are small things, and overall, I think it's pretty gorgeous.

I collect elephants and thought this was using a unique, excellent design. I love the backlight and the way it looks on my shelf. It barely weighs anything, which shocked me because it looks heavy. When it is not lit, the elephant is hard to make out. It is plastic, not stone like I thought it was by the picture, but I didn't read the description well. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.

When I picked out the product I was under the impression it was a sandstone carving. When I received it I realized it is just a cheap hollow plastic rock. I then re-read the page to see if the company communicated that fact and it was entirely my fault. I think the product page is a fairly misleading. While they don't say it is real sandstone, they don't explicitly state it is faux stone - plastic painted to look like stone. You can generally tell it is made of plastic from a couple of feet away. I got this for my wife, she loves elephants, but she wasn't a fan of this product.It may be fine for a kid's room night light or something similar, but wasn't particularly impressed.

Pretty light weight (plastic) Elephant light. Looks nice on my night stand. You could put it on your desk because it does not take up to much room. I ordered this as a potential gift for someone who loves elephants. The problem is that I love elephants too and I like this so much that I'm going to have to keep this one for myself! The lamp would also make a very nice night light for a jungle themed kids room. It gives a nice glow and looks really nice at night.

This little elephant light is cute. It definitely looks better lit. When it's not lit, it looks a little cheap -- not terribly cheap, but enough that I noticed. It just looks way better lit. The problem I have with this light and the reason I took a star off is that it runs on three AAA batteries. I have many little lights similar to this one and they all have built in rechargeable batteries. This is not rechargeable. You just have to keep replacing batteries and that means that I won't use it as a nightlight even though it would be perfect as a nightlight. But since you can't plug it in or recharge it's batteries, I won't keep it on at night because I'd constantly have to replace batteries.
