Solenoid Relay Compatible With/Replacement For Mercury Marine 20HP 25HP 40HP 45HP 50HP 55HP

Everything pointed to this being the part I needed. Installed on Mariner 25 hp. It worked, and everything matched up like the old one... except the bolts. This has the bolts closer together. I had to install it using only 1 bolt, not 2.

I was having trouble starting my 07 Mercury 50HP 3 Cylinder outboard. I would see the starter jump like it wanted to start but wouldn't crank over. But sometimes it would. I'm no electrical engineer, but a similar thing happened to my home generator. So I knew it had to be the starter solenoid. This product was each to install. There weren't any directions, but if you are smart and either label your wires or just remember. The install took 10 mins tops. Just remember to disconnect battery. Saftey first. Will come back and edit review of failure occurs in the next few months.

my starter always worked but after starting it wouldn't stop it just kelp running. i bought this because i'm broke and could pay for it later. when it got here it fit right on and has worked great ever since. maybe 2 months with no troubles at all.

Same comment as R Mike. Mounting not the same and had to use old solenoid bracket. When I opened up the tabs, they snapped off. Fortunately, the old solenoids tabs did not snap off. Got to take a look a the internals a bit though and this is better built than the one I replaced (more enclosed actuation wiring, no spring for solenoid plunger exposed).

Just as advertised and worked for the boat starter.

Did not mount right had to take bracket off old one to bolt it on rubber bushings to thick

Works for now, will give another review in a month. Did not mount with bracket on solenoid, had to use old bracket
