Great book.
When it comes to sheet metal work I'm a complete beginner with an interest in custom motorcycles. This book manages to cover so many areas in great depth but is still easy to understand it is quiet an achievement. I will find it a useful "how to" book and reference guide for years to come. Great value and a joy to read.

i am a sheetmetal worker by trade and this book gives some good tips on car body fabrication however the best one i have come across is the sheet metal work bible which i think is a top publication on the subject

The Eddie Show
I bought this book only because the one i wanted was out of stock.I was wanting to pick up knowledge and skills to apply to car restoration at quite a basic level. What i got was the Eddie Promotional Tour. Take a walk around the workshop; marvel at all the nice machines and toys they have and gasp in wonder as the man himself lets out some of the secrets of using them.for sure there are some good tips to be had from the book but there is for my taste far too much product placement and self promotion. Most of the top tips relate to his own workshop and machines therein; hardly relavent to most home workshops. If this is the best practical guide to classic car restoration available i will write my own.

Book had enough info on the Custom Building of Modified ...
Book had enough info on the Custom Building of Modified Rear Fenders for over sized Rear Tires and Wheels. It will be helpful with all the other info that I've collected, to build my new Fenders, which I plan on eventually working into the Stamping Molds so that I can do this for others who want to use over sized Wheels and Tires.

So good it was surprising
Sounds silly, but what really got me on this book was the author's introduction. Eddie Paul explained why he enjoyed doing bodywork and forming sheetmetal. Like many things, most anybody can do 85% of it with a little practice. and Mr. Paul expains how to get started and assures the reader that you can do it and it is quite satisfying. The technical discussions in the book are excellent. He lays out the basic concepts of metal composition and metal forming in understandable, yet technically savvy dialogue. Sounds stupid, but not only did Mr. Paul lay out the techniques, he inspired me to try my hand. Not a lot of authors can do that.
