We have several of the early low wattage LED bulbs and the Paws_7 looked like a good way to put them to use. Upon receipt, the plastic housing seemed sturdy enough, but the wire gauge is very thin. The wire placement was sloppy, but we were able to coax them into the proper channels. The exposed open sockets were another concern. I went through the calculations and the amperage is low due to the 25 watt restriction per bulb so the wire gauge may be OK, but the risk of a house fire is a high bar to pass, so we decided to not use the device and will write it off as a bad impulse purchase. The wattage label is on the side away from where the bulbs screw in, so be sure everyone in your household is aware of the wattage restriction so a larger bulb isn't accidentally used.

THE GOOD: This is an ingenious solution for adding more usable light to single socket porcelain bulb holders. I’m running $1 9 watt LED’s from Dollar Tree in mine. Each unit has 7 x 9w = 63 total watts, well below my base’s max rating of 100w.They really fill my garage with usable light. And economical too: 7 socket unit is $10, plus 7 LED’s comes out to $17 per unit.THE BAD: Unfortunately one unit has a defective center socket. A huge disappointment because it doesn’t match my other units. This is the only reason for my one star rating.

The wires used are VERY thin and completely unprotected at the top of the fixture.(How do you say YIKES! in Chinese?)Use these ONLY ONLY ONLY for low wattage, low heat LED bulbs!If you have any kind of a pest problem where you are concerned that wires might be chewed, do NOT use these.In my opinion, These probably should only be considered for temporary use.Otherwise, they work, are a unique product and are certainly at a very low price.I'm not an engineer, am not an electrician, but I am pretty sure that these would never ever be UL approved or meet any kind of safety code herePlease see the attached pics.

This unit was rated for approximately 320f. I used the correct wattage bulbs and this unitalmost started a fire. If I had had this on another hour, it would have started a fire I believe inmy garage. The unit melted and saved. All of the light bulbs crashed together and the plasticdid not stand up to the temperature. Recommend not buying the product.

I'm using these with seven BR-30, 65W equivalent LED floods for basic work lights and bench lights.I know there are more compact, more rugged LED work lights out there, but I wanted something with a larger, softer source, and something with a high CRI (color rendition index) so I could use it for color critical applications, as well as just being easier on the eyes. The bulbs are the easy part, CREE now makes a CRI 90+ 6000K daylight line of bulbs that includes the BR-30 "reflector flood". The hard part, of course, is mounting a suitable "cluster" of BR-30 bulbs. That's where this adapter comes in.It lets you put seven of, well, anything, in one socket. It's sturdy enough so that BR-30s (or even the older, heavier Sylvania PAR-30LN "longneck" LEDs that I still have a case of) won't deform the arms. If you mount the adapter at 90 degrees, the bulbs remain true at 90 degrees, no drooping, no wobbling. And you can clamp around the long "neck" of the adapter for a rock solid mount.I was so satisfied I ordered another, then two more.

Complete piece of junk!!! Fell apart on the first use. The screw in base came off and the whole light fixture feel down.BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

It's a really neat idea for using all those free-handout, low wattage, eco-friendly LED bulbs that leave you stumbling around in the semi-darkness. And the general design is nice too BUT construction quality is really poor. Reiterating what many other viewers say and adding a few more... - Wires are very thin - don't overload- Connections to the negative - dodgy - not soldered.. The negative wires are poked into the plastic screw hole. Connection is via the screw thread and then into the gold coloured bulb holder. Lots of places for a high resistance connection and heat generation. - The gold colouring on the bulb holders is not metal but an insulating lacquer!!!!! The get an electrical connection you are relying on the threaded section of the bulb scratching off the lacquer to connect to the metal underneath.- The chrome plating on the screw and tip had peeled off in places and the steel underneath corroded.- No cover over wires in the six arms - not really a concern unless you have a rampant rodent problem but a cover over them would still be nice.Nice concept, great idea and I'll be using the two I bought (I had to repair the non-working central holder on one of them) but be aware of the potential hazards associated with them and DON'T overdo the wattage - low wattage LED's only!!!

At first look, the product is as advertised. However, one of the 7 sockets on the one I received didn't work. That was a good thing. It caused me to take a closer look and realize how poorly constructed it is and potentially dangerous. First, this is not UL Listed and contains no other regulatory compliance markings. Under the cover, there are 2 wire nuts holding together 7 small wires each. The wire nuts weren't particularly tight and both placed next to each other in a tight space with no additional insulation or mechanisms preventing loose wires from contacting each other. Also, one of the sockets was mildly damaged and conformed to the correct shape after inserting a bulb. That being said, this product has a use if you ensure that you NEVER leave it alone with power connected and keep a fire extinguisher handy.
