Cuisinart 19.5” Cleanburn Smokeless Fire Pit with Removable Base for Ash, Portable Wood Burning Outdoor Fireplace, Stainless Steel Smoke Free Outdoor Heater, Enhanced Airflow and Easy Cleanup

I researched long and hard before selecting a fire pit. I've been using this for almost a year now before writing my review and I have to say that we LOVE it and use it almost every night. 1. Beautifully made and is showing no signs of deterioration, rusting, etc after almost a year on our PNW deck. 2. OMG - So easy to light!!! This fire pit lights in two seconds with a single match and two screws of paper. I was amazed. No blowing, no fussing, no hovering in the smoke trying to get the wood to light. The air holes around the base make this the easiest fire to light EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. 3. I needed a pit I could put on a WOODEN deck. The "base ring" that the fire bowl sits on is about 4-5" high, which is what is recommended minimum safe separation for having a fire pit on a wooden deck. The footed base plate (bought separately) adds an additional 1-2". For added peace of mind, we bought a round reflective fire mat to go underneath everything. It's worked beautifully. Even after several hours of steady use I can slide my hand under the fire pit comfortably (which I did obsessively for the first few weeks, terrified that we were going to burn our deck). 4. I initially assumed I'd get a propane fire pit but soon realized propane smells, it hisses, you have a hose snaking across your deck, and it's tedious and expensive to refill the tank every few times you run the pit. With this fire pit, I'm steadily burning through our wood/brush pile and am thrilled about that. 5. VERY little smoke produced and incredibly small amounts of ash to clean up. After about 8 hours of steady burning there's only about an inch or two of ash.....amazing. I love the ease of accessing/emptying the ash collection basin too...takes two seconds. A BEAUTIFULLY designed product and I couldn't be happier with it. Everyone who comes to our house and gets to see it wants one. >:-)

I had high hopes and low expectations for this, considering the reasonable price. After it arrived, I bought a bag of pellets and some fire starters and gave it a go. I am very impressed. This small, simple burner puts out a lot of heat, looks good, and is easy to use. In fact, it puts our more heat than I expected, with absolutely no smoke. The top stainless ring did discolor during the first use but that gives it a patina. This is a great addition to my small patio!

We had the larger one and loved it so much after a large party that we bought the medium sized one for tailgating. They are nice looking and work so well. The design contains the heat to a small area allowing for a great "bonfire" experience. When we took it tailgating, we thought we would have to wait to put it in the car until after the game. Toward the end of tailgating, this firepit ashed down all the wood quickly and after 30 minutes we were able to dump the ashes, cool it off with just 2 water bottles of water and put it in the car without a worry. It does leave a burn mark on the grass and asphalt underneath - so be forewarned about that. It is easy to light and the design produces a fire that requires very little tending.

The primary name brand that is a straight sided stainless steel tube, is more smoke free, but more expensive. This is still more smokeless than a plain fire pit. Easy to clean. Not too heavy to move. All these type of fire pit designs burn hot so your wood [or remaining coals if you are cooking over it] don't last as long. Burns all the wood to ash and very small chunks. After an overnight to burn all the way down & go out, I just dump it on my lawn/garden as a soil amendment and water it in.

Our guests were skeptical of our new firepit— by Cuisinart, really??—until they saw it in action. We used it last night for the first time, and it works like a charm. There was a little smoke when we first lit the fire, but in a few minutes there was none, and my clothes and hair didn’t smell smoky at all this morning. It radiated a nice amount of heat, and I can imagine using it through much of the fall and winter. Its low, open profile makes the fire far more visible than some competing brands, which I love. We used color cones to add some bursts of color to the flames, and it was beautiful! This morning there was just a little residue in the bottom of the ash catcher, very easy to clean up. If you buy this firepit, you won’t be disappointed.

Great little fire pit for patio. I have burned wood chips and pellets. Doesn’t heat a very big area but works well for our needs in FL.

Originally bought this for its looks and style all the rest just look like a shiny burn barrel. This looks great. Going to build a patio featuring it. When I purchased it there were no reviews as to how it performed. I'm VERY impressed. What a fantastic design. Constant flame regardless how much wood in bowl. Constant airflow allows for a complete burn. Little to no smoke even with less than completely dry wood. Due to efficient burn you may use a bit more wood than normal but not overly significant. When your done it only takes about an hour or so to completely burn down to nothing than ash...amazing. I use an old paint brush to brush the ash into the tray below. Clean up is a breeze. So in short...great styling, clean burn, smokeless, easy clean up, lots of flame, great fire pit. For those who purchase one.....enjoy

Everything is perfect with this firepit. We love the look and style. It's not too heavy. It easily separates into its parts for cleaning. It burns fantastically, with no smoke. We are very happy to recommend this as another great Cuisinart product!
