I was hoping these would be wide enough, and they are as long as I wear thin socks with them. Quite comfy! My only complaint is when I walk fast, they sort of flop. Kind of like they don't hug my heel enough. I'm fine with that, as they don't rub on my ankle.

I have a wide foot so I am used to sizing up but then struggling with shoes that are too long. These were fabulous. The Xtra Wide fit perfectly and allowed me to go down a half size to my actual size. Very comfortable.

I have a slightly wider than normal foot, so in all my years I have never been able to find a small white pair that fits right and comfortably. My toes always end up being squeezed way too tight since most brands seem to make these shoes very narrow at the front, however these shoes! I ordered the 9 xw hoping that they would be roomy enough, and they were! I love these shoes! As soon as I tried them on, fit like a glove! Length wise they are a tiny bit longer, but I have a gut feeling that if I got the 8.5 they wouldn't fit as great. I am extremely happy with this purchase, and I will definitely be ordering more pairs as they get ugly.

The review from Mish and a couple of others are warnings to heed. I bought a pair of 9Wide from Keds directly and found them to fit as I would expect a regular width shoe to fit, thus too narrow for my feet. I could feel the edges of the bottom of the shoe on the bottom of my foot - not supporting my whole foot. I opted to order the 9XW on Amazon and found that the shoes fit at the ball of my foot, but were too wide at the heel (even with a thin sock and heel insert) and just felt flimsy when I walked around in them. Not much (if any) support in the shoe. I guess Keds are just not the shoes for me and I will need to look elsewhere for a similar type of shoe.

There is no support in the shoe and I had blisters after three hours.
