The fit and finish is excellent. It works out of the box, with added tweeks for end stops and the like. You do have to be aware that this is an unbuffered board made for running SMALL stepper motors and a stock 775 motor. As these motors are an inductive device, disconnecting the wires with power on can cause high voltage kick back which can destroy the board. Any short circuits, bad wiring and the like can easily do the same. The pwm output is aimed at laser cutters and not for larger motor controllers. The pwm output is 12V and can be set to 0 to 100% square wave output with grbl. Most cheap pwm motor drivers expect 5V output and won't work with these boards. Review: CAUTION - No DOCUMENTATION - ANYWHERE!! - If you are not familiar with electronics - even at a general level - forget it. Buy one with a spec sheet and pinout! Although the one I bought is an odd size. ( 14.2 mm ) I ended up grinding it down to 14. If I would have known how simple they are I would have just made one. All you need is an alligator clip to ground out on a slightly spring loaded piece of metal with wires connecting the two. **Q: Is this board compatible with Lightburn software?** A: Yes, the LightBurn version for GCode controllers will run on this board. I got the WOODPECKER CNC CAMXTOOL V3.4 and I’m running the current trial version (LightBurn V0.9.16) now and have found no problems. Note: the trial contains both g-code and DSP versions. **Q: How are the limit pins configured? Will the board recognize the pins or will the board just notify the software and its up to the software to stop?** A: The function of the limit pins is to notify the kernel on the board that they have been activated or deactivated depending on the type of limit switch you are using. IE a Normally Opened or Normally Closed switch. I do know the GRBL 1.1f kernel that comes with the board detects the change on the pins. However, you still need to set the software to do what you want it to do when detecting the change. IE like having the homing setting set in the GRBL settings $24 - $27 are the settings you want to set for homing. **Q: do you need other board like arduino to make this work?
