UPDATED 15/1/23: I fitted our new DB2 doorbell a few weeks ago. Executive summary is that the device is well designed and good value, but certain installation scenarios are problematic and the Android app is was buggy at first, but support identified and fixed the problem I was seeing. In more detail: One of the reasons I decided on this model was inclusion of the inclined mounting plates. However, the supplied screws are not long enough to fix these plates, and finding others that were both long enough and with a small enough head was not easy. Eventually found some at Screwfix. Note that I contacted EZVIZ Support about this and they were hopeless and failed to understand the issue. The design of the device, with the wireless chime and local storage is very good - I'm not in favour of paying subscriptions for cloud storage so this is perfect. Once installed it worked well enough. The picture is sharp although, in my situation, daytime callers are backlit and their faces are quite dark. The app was where the problem lay. I have installed it on my Android 13 phone and have disabled battery optimisation for the app as recommended. The app works well enough but then, every day or 2, push notifications stopped working. The only way to get them working again was to force stop the app and start it again. The same issue affected my wife's Android 13 phone as well. Reading the reviews for the app in the Google Play store, other people are also getting the same problem. I reported this to EZVIZ Support. It took a couple of weeks and some toing and froing, but they ultimately made a fix and it has worked perfectly since then. Taking everything into consideration, a 5* product.

These are very good cameras, two for the price of one is a bargain. I had to return as in the end had no need for it. However, I already own the single version of this camera. i bought one earlier in the year, and based on that camera, I can comment the quality of the image is good. The functionality, ease of setup, recording capacity are exceptional. The night vision and motion detector is very useful. I used it to keep an eye on my cat. The mic could be improved as it picks up background noise and end up like a screeching sound. Still my cat didnt seem bothered by the quality of the mic.

Its a good video doorbell. But I can't seem to install the micro sd card. It always fails. I've tried many different ones and had them formatted correctly but can't get one single sd card to work

Updated from original 3 star review.. I already have 7 ezviz cameras so when I was looking to replace my troublesome Eufy S220 this seemed like an obvious choice to keep all my cams in the same app.. But this doorbell is clearly not upto EZVIZ's normal high standards.. PROS.. Good image quality . Doesnt send me ghost calls at 2 am like Eufy White and clearly visible Doesnt sporadically stop working like Eufy Tamper detection works well SD card stored in chime not doorbell Lots of installation options Cheap solar charger availablr CONS.. Bulky compared to competitors Very poor instructions Ridiculously small screws (Which you WILL lose) App registration nothing like as intuiayive as with other EZVIZ Cameras Night vision not as good as Eufy Won't send movement alerts to Alexa Chime is far too quiet Chime struggles to maintain a connection if more than a metre from the doorbell (this will be a deal breaker for most people). Updated So after a couple of weeks use this turned out to be no better than the Eufy one it was replacing. Updated: Returned Despite the doorbell chime having its own dedicated mesh node responding to a bell press took so long the person was leaving and then I couldn't hear or talk to them anyway. EZVIZ needs to take a long look at themselves for releasing this junk. I've replaced this with a normal doorbell and an EzViz cam which doesn't have these same connection problems and allows me to communicate with anyone at the door.

Great camera for keeping an eye on our cats while away. Easy to set up and control with the App. Camera scans left to right and up and down, zooms in, all operated by the App and eaaily visible on your phone while away from home. Able to take photos and videos of cats playing while on holiday. When not in use, you can put the camera into sleep mode Cloud storage available, but not needed for us. Very pleased with these cameras, did everything we wanted, and have four around the house, so we can follow the cat's around.

very nice looking camera unfortunately doesn’t turn 360 degrees and you have 6 days only of free space after that you “have” to subscribe for space as i read many reviews gere the sd card wont work so you wont be able to see anymorre whats going one in terms of security this product didnt met my expectations 😞

I'm very happy with these cameras. I bought them to use when I'm away for a few days, so I can keep an eye on my pets/call in a friend if they manage to get into serious trouble. I really like the view range and that it takes short videos when movement is detected. It gives me peace of mind seeing a 5am detection, knowing the auto feeder has gone off. It's high quality enough that I can see the food and water levels from 2m away. One is placed in the living room to cover the main entry points. A second on in the bedroom to watch their other sleeping spots + balcony entry. I like that I can put into sleep mode when I don't need it (I haven't had these mounted, but knowing I can turn them off via app when they don't need to be on is great). There was no hard sell to subscribe to anything, I've just put in the SD card so will see how that goes. The 7 day cloud trial has been a great taster, if I was away for longer periods of time, it's affordable enough that I'd use that. I'm in a one bedroom place and two cameras can cover my whole apartment as far as seeing all internal and external doors go.
