How well does this work on heated objects? will it melt if i spray it on my ar-15?

I have this on a vehicle and on hot direct sunlight it gets very rubbery so I would think it would be even worse on an AR-15

The color ended up a lot more like 'battleship grey'. I dipped the plastics on a dirt bike with this color and then powder-coated some metal parts with FDE and the two did not match at all.
