This portafilter fit my Calphalon Temp IQ perfectly. It's very solid and looks great. Mine also came with 58mm paper discs in the package, which I don't need, but it's a nice touch (I use a metal mesh screen). My first shot was horrendous, but then I remembered reading reviews recommending using a finer grind, and my next shot was much better. I think I still have room to go a bit finer on the grind, but this is a definite step up from the original pressurized baskets, and turns an already good machine into a great one.EDIT: After adjusting the grind some more, I'm pulling some very nice shots. Also noticed the same coffee tastes better now. I'm never going back to pressurized baskets. I'm using a very fine grind, and that seems to work well for me.

I would have given it 5 stars except for one thing. This particular bottomless portafilter has some of the skirt cut out on the opposite side of the handle. It makes it difficult to insert into an on-board grinder to dose directly into the portafilter. So I got a dosing cup to put under the grinder and it turns out that I actually prefer that arrangement. Maybe I should give it 5 stars for making me do things differently lol

It says it’s compatible with calphalon temp IQ but it’s not. It works, but it leaks, there’s about a 50/50 chance it’ll leak bad and an 80% chance water will drip. The drip wouldn’t bother me but when there’s a stream of water coming from the outside of it, that’s upsetting. There are some shots that pull without and leaking, but no matter what if it was made right it wouldn’t leak, even if the machine got choked out. The ears on the portafilter are slimmer than the stock portafilter, that’s most likely the problem, it can’t make a complete seal.
