It's not super bright, but for the money it is very fun!

I was going to return it due to it not working but after 2 days charging in full sun it finally started working so my son didn't want to return it. Thats why I'm giving it a 4*. Its cool lite up

My kids love the lights on the basketball goal at night!

I ordered this item in March for my grandsons April 5th birthday. We installed it that weekend and it worked beautifully until this week. Now it only lights up on one side. We are so disappointed. It only worked as described for approximately 3 weeks! Although it may be just outside the warranty period I feel the seller should offer a replacement.Update: still have not heard from sellerUpdate: seller shipped replacement but I have not installed yet

After sending a message to the seller, they are going to send us a replacement. I will give them three stars now instead. And we'll update it later if it holds out better than the first one.We did not pull on this net or do anything to harm it I specifically told my 5-ft 4-in daughter not to mistreat the net in any way and a little after a month it's barely working. Only about a quarter of the net is lighting up. Save your money and your time. Unfortunately, this is not a good purchase and it's about a week or two weeks too late to return it.

The net itself is super cool, the only issue is if you don't have a backboard that lights up, you just have what looks like a floating hoop. Easy to install and the best part is you don't have to worry about running extension cords or locating a nerby power source because it's solar powered!

My kid and his friends play basketball at our house a lot, and we have used and thrown away a couple of the light sets that just go around the rim because they take a beating from these kids on the regular and get destroyed. This net is a great solution because the lights are inside the net itself, so hopefully will last longer. We needed a new net anyway, so to get both lights and a net in one is great! Even better that this is solar, so I don't have to worry about replacing batteries.The small solar panel is meant to be installed on the pole, and of course you need to position it in a location where it will get lots of direct sun (6 hours minimum daily). Our basketball setup is height-adjustable and backs up to our house, so we had to find a spot to stick the solar box where it would not get hit by the ball, would not interfere with movement of the hoop up or down, and would get enough sun. We decided to mount it behind the glass of the backboard itself. The kit comes with zip ties and 3M sticky pads, but we didn't end up using them - we stuck it on with gorilla tape and it's working fine.The solar box has an on/off switch, and there is a sensor that automatically turns the lights on at night if it's set to "on." Pretty cool. There's also a mode button that lets you switch from continuous light to flashing light.My kid and his friends think this is really cool. If you've got a basketball-obsessed kid, this would make a good gift.
