Great game with brilliant art design
This is a great game that I have played several times already and have introduced to several others that have also said they think its brilliant. It's pretty straight forward to play and has plenty of re-play-ability as there are multiple different characters with different abilities and different ways to collect points on your journey. The game also has the added bonus of being beautifully drawn and a delight to look at.

Great Game
Great, fun game to play - about 45 mins. Not overly complicated, which adds to the fun for me. Add ins are available for this game too to extend playing time, which I will buy at some point. All round well worth buying and I now see why it has a bit of a cult following

One of my favourite games!
I absolutely love this game. The artwork is great, the mechanics work well and the premise makes for a fun experience with friends. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Game
Easily one off the must enjoyable board games I've played. A lot to remember at first, but once you get stuck in the rules are simple, the games don't last too long (around 30 minutes) and is an absolute joy to play. The box & art inside are absolutely stunning too.

nice looking game
this 5th anniversary edition caught my eye as it is so attractively presented. we are all interested in Japanese culture and this game ticked all the boxes by immersing the players in just that. a trip across Japan. I did wonder what would be missing from this game as it is considerably cheaper than the original version but as far as I can see, unless you are a devotee of the game who wants to collect each and every version , then you may as well spend less and use the money you save on another game.

I love this game, so bought it for someone else but parts missing.
Who do I talk to? I bought this as a Xmas present, they've just opened it to play and the panorama/painting cards are missing. They contacted FunForge who claim they can only support FR.

A thoroughly enjoyable game
Fantastic game bought for my girlfriend. Artwork is excellent and game play is enjoyable. Different to other types of games our there. At times the game can play quite quickly (15 mins) but with more people this may be different.

Wonderful.
Beautiful game where it pays off to enjoy playing rather than trying to win.

Excelente

Beautiful, easy to learn, fun to play!
This is a top 10 for me. I own around 150 board games and this is definitely 1 of my favorites. The artwork is beautiful and the concept is unique. They compliment one another nicely. If someone is new to games I love to pull this 1 out because it’s easy to learn and fun. Not to mention people find the artwork stunning. Component quality is very nice. Makes a great gift and appreciated by board gaming enthusiasts alike. I’ve played this game probably 50x and it never gets old. There is high replayability due to the variable characters and your turn order rotating each round. Rounds are fast depending on the number of players but easy to finish in 20-30m with 4 players teaching someone. Rounds can go much faster with experienced players. I love the art and concept. Anyone at any age can play. Young children who are focused and interested can certainly pick this up. Great entry point for new board game players and a classic for those who enjoy board games. This is a light game but can be explored by strategists to great effect (considerations: start with more money or other bonuses like extra souvenirs, move first now or last to secure points on particular segments ahead, etc.).

Fun game
Played this game quite a few times with my family and always loved the game. It’s not overly competitive, nor cutthroat, but there’s definitely a lot of planning involved to make things happen haha. A fun buy if you’re looking to play a little more relaxed game.

Pretty and Fun Family Fare
Undoubtedly a sumptuous visual feast for Japanophiles as travellers simulate the ancient tokaido experience and be rewarded for it. The eye-catching artwork resembles that of an anime or manga with a pre-Meiji backdrop. Depending on the number of players gameplay can take anything from 30 min to an hour. It certainly works best as a "gateway" game for the uninitiated. It's easy to learn and very nice to look at. The game can be played as peaceably or aggressively as the players want to. It combines an element of luck (card draws) and leaves room for the use of tactics as players inevitably get in the way of each other's leisure and consumption goals. Although I bought this to get the entire family off their devices, there is a cute iOS/Android app that opens up more opportunities to play different players. For the more competitive amongst us it allows for some extra practice.
