This lamp is first class, great quality. It's sturdy and clips on really well. It's perfect for reading in bed.

The lamp is okay but the cable is 60 inches, 5 foot. Far too short to reach the outlet. I was once told a transformer should never be used in an extension lead so what should I do? Very annoying they didn't put cable length in description.

Good lamp for my sons bunk bed. The plug gets very hot so I always make sure he unplugs the lamp before going to sleep and when I come up to bed I check that it unplugged.

I realize these are very cheap in price, but for the benefit of others, this is truly reflected in the quality of the product. Also, as is often the case with cheap items, the language of the "instructions" is clearly translated from another language. The instructions state very clearly that the lamp itself will get VERY hot (it even warns about UV protection), however - as you can see from the image - there is a small metal bar sticks out from the front of the lamp - this too would become VERY hot, yet is meant to be used to adjust the angle of the lamp. The spring on the clip is really strong, so that's a plus (unless you have weak/arthritic hands). Finally, I bought this for the purpose of using at table-top fairs, but the size of the adaptor provided to plug the unit in would be very restrictive in allowing more than one (or two on a three/four site extension cable) lamp to be plugged in. The reason I gave it two stars rather than one, is due to the fact that it is very cheap, so I basically got what I paid for.
