Thirteen cents a cup and just like Douwe Egberts!!
I've always loved Douwe Egbert Coffee as the best on the planet and was extremely disappointed to see it replaced by Folgers--but not anymore! This liquid duplicate is so close, I'm not sure I could tell the difference with two cups side by side. These 2 litres gave me 810 teacups of coffee, using half a teaspoon of the concentrate. ( I like my coffee mild; the instructions say 1 Tablespoon per cup, which would make VERY strong coffee, indeed!) That's less than 13 cents a cup! I bought six plastic "ketchup" bottles and froze the concentrate, leaving one bottle to use in the refrigerator. Snipping the bottom of the bag and getting the concentrate into the bottles was very awkward, with spillage. Next time I will snip the bag over a huge pitcher and then pour from there into individual bottles. The taste deteriorates if you have it thawed more than about 2 weeks. It remains fresher tasting to halfway thaw one of the ketchup bottles and fill the new bottle only halfway for refrigeration and daily use.

Glad I bought it, but I'll probably go back to using K-cups
We've had the liquid coffee and a couple different restaurants in the area and LOVE the flavor! So, we ordered a box of it to try at home to see if the taste would remain without using the commercial dispenser/machine.First let me say that the shipping was FAST. It came in a cold pack and was actually still half frozen! We bought several (six maybe?) squeeze bottles (from Walmart) and filled them with the black gold after it un-froze (is that a word?). You have to keep the concentrate in the fridge or it will spoil/deteriorate in quality. Just before we squeeze it into the hot water we shake bottle vigorously for a couple seconds (another reviewer suggested to do this...). The flavor is typically really good! It took us a while to find out how much to actually use in order to achieve the taste we were going for, but know we have it down pat. Once in a while I notice that there is a slightly bitter flavor...similar to Tim Hortons coffee. It's not all the time though, which leads me to believe that it's something WE are doing wrong (ie. not shaking enough, using too much, etc). The other thing is...lately, we are noticing some "clumps" in the bottom of our coffee cup (think coffee grounds, but different). I don't know what it is, but since we started seeing them, we increased our shaking time, lol. It seems to have helped. We've had the coffee for maybe six weeks now, so maybe we are just reaching the end of it's life span?? If anyone has any input, please feel free to comment. So, one star was lost for the clumps in the coffee, another star was lost for the occasional bitterness (if I could give it a 3.5 star I would have). One other thing I should mention...in our household we are drinking approximately 5 cups every day and we are about half way through the coffee concentrate.Hope this helps someone out there!

I like it can be made different strengths
No, not the Douwe Egberts. On the other hand does not need to be filtered for grounds either. I do not use in a machine. I use large mouth jars, freeze 2 and keep one in the fridge and make 32 ounce pitcher and make coffee base for the week for myself. Using about 1/3 cup extract and fill with 32 oz. water keeping the next few weeks extract in door. I don't drink very strong coffee, but I can make this as strong or weak as I like it. I pour half my cup with this extract mix and then put hot water for the remaining and then nuke it. I like that it is smooth, not bitter and that is is ready for me when ever I want it. My family likes Bunn coffee using Peets or some such, too bitter for me. So if you like the warmth of coffee, the dunking part and the social part this is good. Times when family drinks my coffee they usually just pour my mixture straight and heat it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE - tough to get it just right
Only thing is, tough to get the mix just right for a single cup. Through lots of experimentation and reading other people's reviews, I think I have it down now: less is more! So I mix just under a tsp to 8oz (1 cup) of hot water - perfect. I needed a good-tasting black coffee to do a pure fast for my Intermittent Fasting ;).

THE BEST TASTING COFFEE!!!
I don't purchase Folgers ground coffee, but this liquid concentrate is AMAZING!!! it has the best taste (as my brother put it, "it's like hotel coffee!") I do not have a fancy restaurant-style coffee machine, but I purchase this, and pour it into squeeze bottles. The extras freeze great! All I do now is heat up water and squirt in some liquid coffee concentrate for the best cup of Joe ever!!!!! Love it!

So good I drink too much coffee now
I ordered this after I tried the decaf version at a friend’s house. Now I’ve ordered it twice. It’s so smooth. No bitterness. Makes every cup feel like a special treat. The only trouble is that it’s so good I drink more coffee in a day than I used to, and with the price, I don’t want run out that quickly and have to order more.

Sadly not Douwe Egbert's liquid coffee
The liquid coffee received sooner than expected. The taste was ok but by no means does it taste or smell like Douwe Egbert liquid coffee.

Condition of coffee concentrate when recently received.
I was concerned because this product was fully unthawed and quite warm when it arrived. Prior of this coffee concentrate order was still frozen when received.
