Not Built to Last
These look so nice it's kind of ornamental, but they are not made to last. They are made by attaching the reflective tape to a thin piece of plastic. Three months in, the reflective tape has separated from the plastic for several of them. The metal attachments can probably last for years so it's a waste of good metal attachments.

Don’t waste your money
I brought this to keep birds from making a nest under my awning at front door. Every year different species try. I put 7 of them around my awning. The birds pay no attention to this product and continues to gracefully make their nest. So this product do not scare them at all.

No directions for assembly with numerous parts.
Gave up trying to put these together withour directions. My husband is very good at figuring things out and these were too much for him with numerous small parts and no directions. Gave up. Too late to return item and who wants to go through the hassle of returning when you have to pay for shipping back. No return is "free".

Pretty design and effective, but set your expectations accordingly
I was excited to try these, as we have had issues with bird strikes on a particular window. The product arrived needing assembly, with various product pieces separated into bags. There were no instructions. This might not be for everybody - although I found it easy to assemble the scare disks after looking at the picture of the product and did not need instructions. Putting these together would be a fun activity for kids.Because these take up some vertical height, you will need to plan where to hang them. They might work at the base of trees or over patios, but probably will not work well along fences or in the middle of trees where they will hit / rub against stems / branches / etc..I gave mine a stress test of hanging it next to a fence. After a few windy days, it was tangled and frayed, with dust in the edges and one area becoming detached. We don't have any rain in our forecast, so I've not been able to see how it holds up in the rain.My thought is that these, when placed in an area where they won't rub against other items, will likely last for a season or two before needing to be replaced. If placed in the middle of a tree or along a fence, they won't last so long. The motion / movement / light will keep the birds away.

product doesn't seem particularly scary to birds.
product not at all scary to birds building nest within 8 inches of multiple hanging units, plastic film on plastic substrate quickly delaminating in windy conditions

These are the best!
As someone who has been battling the birds every summer from attacking my fig trees and blueberry bushes, I couldn't be happier with these bird reflectors. Granted it is winter right now and I haven't actually used them, I can tell already they're going to be a big improvement on other products I have tried.I tried the mesh bird netting one year, but it took forever on a step ladder to position it around my 10' fig trees. The bird netting did seem to work but one morning I saw that a little bird had actually got caught up in the net. He wasn't hurt and I was able to gently extract him from the net and he flew away but I swore off using a net ever again.Another year I tried a roll of the bird reflector tape and it seemed to work ok but was a pain to cut up into 2 foot strips and then attach them to the branches. If a big wind came, some of them would break off and fly away to who knows where.I can't wait to try these bird reflectors this summer. They're quite long, about 21", and they swivel around so the wind will maximize the reflections to detract birds. The only thing I would mention is that you have to assemble them yourself, not a big deal but it took me almost half an hour with my fumble fingers. Also, take care on how to store them....hanging them from something is better than just throwing them into a drawer, otherwise they tend to get tangled up.
