Ultimate Guide to Letting Go
This book explains the process of what I would call "letting go" better than any others. Before this book by the Hendricks, I read books on Focusing (Gendlin, Cornell) and the book Letting Go by David Hawkins. These just didn't communicate how to 'feel' and use the focus on feelings and sensations for transformation and letting go.At the Speed of Life, however, makes it easy to learn how to let go and transform your life. It can seem a little bit verbose at time, especially with the transcripts of sessions with clients, but these actually help to understand how to apply the techniques for different people and different circumstances. If you read through these, you might get a light bulb moment that leads to new insights...or at leas helps you apply the techniques more efficiently.I highly recommend this book.

Life Changing
This book has transformed my life. I have had decades of therapy that did nothing. Connecting with my body brought out the true emotions - what one feels in the body versus feelings which are what we feel when we THINK about our body emotions. I have so much more energy for life now. I wish I had done this much sooner in life. June 2021 Update - I have continued to use body-centered techniques and meditation and I just keep getting better and better. Many in the community of psychology are realizing the importance of body experience in the healing of trauma. To me, it has been truly miraculous. I hope it can be for you.

I liked learning about the different unconscious flags to pay attention ...
I found a lot of value reading this book. In particular, I liked learning about the different unconscious flags to pay attention to in clients to help support them in creating the shifts they desire. Breathing flags, movement flags, postural flags, verbal flags and attitude flags have been keys to paying attention to the unconscious in others. Having studied with many body-centered therapist, I think Gay and Kathlyn are some of the best and this book captures much of their wisdom.

Great book for somatic therapy
This book does a great job of providing techniques that a therapist can use with a client or someone can use on their own.

I loved this book
I loved this book. It got me started on the mind body journey that has added so much to my life. I was so impressed by the information in "At the Speed of Life" that I eventually apprenticed with the Hendricks, an experience that was not only exciting but greatly improved my ability to live life more fully and to create more fulfilling, loving relationships.
