A nice short read to learn about tools to better understand and manage yourself
This can be a great book to keep handy for people who are neurodivergent, such as those with autism, ADHD, or other neurodevelopmental disorders, or who deal with such people be in family or friend circle. Although I would go further and suggest anyone to give this a read. I'm not medically diagnosed with any neurodivergency but still I found the techniques discussed in the book quite useful. For example, ABC technique or the sensory grounding or distress tolerance exercises.I do practice guided meditation once in a while but the techniques discussed in the book gave me some more options to look for. For example, I'll definitely try to use the sensory grounding technique: focusing on the 5 things I can see, 4 things I can touch, 3 things I can hear, 2 things I can smell and 1 thing I can taste. It works quite well and I'm pleased that this book introduced me to this technique.I would recommend anyone to give this book a read. Maybe you'll also find a gem in there that'll help you deal with "yourself" in a much better way.

Easy and positive :)
I found this book to be a useful tool to remind me of all the techniques I could be using to mentally and emotionally improve myself. This book on dbt is an easy book to follow if you are just learning about it’s techniques. It has language friendly to those that face mental challenges every day and encourages positivite self talk. It offers quick, simple techniques that a person could practice every day, any time, to improve their own inner image of themselves. All of the techniques mentioned are based in scientifically backed methods. I liked that the author emphasizes the importance and individualizing interventions based on your own unique experiences.

Realy easy to read and helpfull
I really enjoyed reading the book and learning valuable tips and tricks. One notable strength is its practicality. The inclusion of exercises and science-backed strategies is crucial for readers who seek actionable steps to improve their mental health. This hands-on approach can lead to real and lasting changes when consistently practiced. The book's focus on reframing negative thoughts, improving social relationships, and emotional control is commendable, as these are common challenges for many individuals, particularly those with neurodivergent conditions. By addressing these issues and offering tailored approaches, the book seems to genuinely aim to make a positive impact on readers' lives.

Great guide on how to master DBT skills
This book is a great tool for neurodivergent people. It gives you a great guide on how to confront life’s challenges using different types of techniques. I have ADHD myself, and sometimes I struggle with real-life situations like focusing on what someone is saying to me or how to handle stressful situations. I used some of the techniques discussed in the book like, the distress tolerance toolbox, or picking a conversation with someone you care about and practicing with them on focusing on what they are saying. Those techniques really helped me and I use them in my everyday life. Definitely recommend a read.

Shines some light.
My wife and I have had some struggles understanding my daughter at times. This book offers some much needed advice. The older she gets the more we have discovered about ourselves and the way we cope with stimuli and stress. This book goes into great detail and has offered us strategies to help with her circumstances as well as our own. Highly recommended if you need to clear up some things and understand ourselves a little better.

Scam
I have reason to believe this is another AI written scam. Like a previous reviewer said, this is not a workbook. It’s a cheaply bound book with surface level passages, no space for reflection, and random photos that have nothing to do with the content. There are no author credentials or anything about her in the book. The description about the author on Amazon says she’s a clinical psychologist of over 20 years, and is renowned in the field for her DBT skills. Listen, I’m a graduate student and intern in counseling. I looked up this lady’s license number and I could not find her anywhere. She doesn’t exist. Also, her photo is definitely some hyper-lit AI depiction of what one might think an approachable seasoned psychologist would look like.IN ADDITION, the reference list in the back is embarrassing for any self-respecting mental health clinician. Listed are blog posts, articles from Medium, podcasts, and other free materials found online. No real credible or peer-reviewed sources. Someone just fed these websites through AI, printed a book and slapped a $15 price on it. What’s worse is that it’s targeting people who are trying to help themselves or others with neurodivergence to improve the quality of their lives.Don’t get it. It’s garbage. It’s a scam.

Not a Workbook
When I received this book I was disappointed with a few things:1. This is not a Workbook in my opinion. Typically workbooks have space to write & reflect using prompts, questions or graphic organizers. This book doesn't have that at all.2. This book felt like it was written as advice for a therapist who is working with Neurodivergent individuals. Example: pg. 17 "Supporting Families in the DBT process"3. It reads like someone's thesis....double spaced the whole time with occasional headings. Nothing broken down, listed, or chunked out. There are many helpful activities and exercises in this book, but it is not a Workbook and makes for a very different experience than I was expecting. Having to flip from this book to a notebook and breaking down the exercises into manageable chunks (that aren't really explained) is crumby.
