Use daily
These are a great alternative to the old style clips you have to push to open. My toddler figured out the other clips quickly so this being a magnetic safety latch is perfect. We put the magnet out of reach if the toddler but my 5 year old is able to work it with no issues.

great concept
The design of these locks is pretty brilliant. I wish they worked on my cabinets, but they don't work with the Ikea Besta cabinet doors. As is the case with most Ikea cabinet doors, they tend the wiggle (as a result of the adjustability) which means I can just push the cabinet door down and it bypassed the lock. Shucks. But! If your doors don't wiggle, these are a genuinely great option.

Easy to apply, easy to use.
These child locks were very easy to install. I just used the stick-on, but there are screw holes on the bases that are optional to use with screws. The magnet comes with a little disk that sticks on as a holder, which is really convenient so you don't lose it. We keep it right on the fridge. These will probably work on most modern cabinets and drawers. If you have older style cabinets, the only concern I would have is that the thickness would affect the magnetism. Our console table has somewhat thicker drawers and it is tougher to find the unlock point with the magnet. They do hold very well. Our 2-year old has not been able to open the drawers!

Magnetic lock and key do not work.
Despite the manufacturer's instructional video (YouTube) implying that installation and use are easy, neither is true.Adhesive doesn't stick well enough to avoid using screws to attach locks. If you live in an apartment, that's probably not an option. My landlord wouldn't allow it.Worse, the included magnetic key would not work. Our cabinet doors are not thick, but the key's magnetic field is so weak, it could not get through the door to affect the lock mechanism.

Great Concept but Does Not Work Consistently
Our 14-month old grand daughter is at our house often and loves to open and shut cabinets and drawers. I saw these magnetic locks, that did not require drilling into our cabinets, and thought they were the perfect solution. Unfortunately they do not work nearly as well as I hoped they would.First, if you have never installed this style of lock, the instructions that come with them will more than likely leave you frustrated and scratching your head. I had pretty much given up on using them based on the instructions, and decided to go to YouTube and try to find an installation video. The one I got was not for this brand, but the product looked nearly identical. After watching the installation video, everything made sense. Regalo really should direct users to a video install, since their paper instructions are not for first time users. After the video, I decided to give them a try on the cabinet drawer shown in the first and second photos. Since the drawer closes into the opening, and sits recessed, you have to measure to determine how deep to set the keeper. The jig in photos 3 and 4 allows for a good amount of depth adjustment, but you have to be very precise or the lock will not catch right. I tried to show both the lock and keeper with the jig, but as with their paper instructions still photos and words do not do the items and process justice.Once you get the keeper secured in the opening, the next step is to secure the lock onto in my case the sliding drawer. I used the jig on 2 different drawers, and both times the lock sat too low and would not engage the mounted keeper. So I had to peel the lock (taped to the drawer now) off of the drawer and play a game of trial and error until the lock engaged. When I went too high, the lock lever would lock itself into the disengaged setting so too high was as bad as too low in that it would not engage the keeper. Since I used the supplied guide jig the two parts should have been in their correct locations but neither was. After several tries, I got both locks to engage but the tape had been stuck, unstuck and reset several times so it is not as strong as it was originally and will need to be screwed into place. Also, one of them comes unlocked if you wiggle the drawer a few times so our grand daughter will more than likely still be able to open it if she tries enough.I gave them 3 stars because they kind of work, and may work better in a flush mount application versus one where the drawer sits recessed like where I needed them. If you choose to get these definitely go online for installation videos as this will save a lot of potential frustration and really help you visualize the installation process. Once mounted, the magnet did not have any issues activating the lock through the wood in my installation application.

Keeps my toddler from going in the medicine drawer.
Toddlers, ever curious, seem to get into everything, including our medicine drawer! With this we are able to lock the drawer so that our toddler can’t open it, and it doesn’t require too much effort to open. Some cool things about this product is that it comes with an alignment tool which makes installation a lot easier, no need for rulers to measure out offsets, etc. the locks are pretty sturdy plastic not flimsy at all. However they do take up a little space in the drawer or cabinet and some cabinets you may only be able to attach it on the bottom due to the top face frame not having enough material to mount the latch. So it does eat up some space. One of my other favorite features is that you can push the latch in and it will pretty much keep it unlocked. So if you do t need to lock the drawer or cabinet anymore, you don’t have to remove it, you can just push the latch down and leave it unlocked.

Neat concept but didn’t work
Been wanting something like this so that little ones can’t get access to our pots and pans. Admittedly, it WAS very easy to set up, between the instructions and the provided installation piece; however, they did not work for me. I set up all four units, but none of them were effective. The key device didn’t work through my cabinet doors, and it required a lot of effort (such as slamming the door) to even get the device to “lock,” which made me unhappy. Disappointed and bummed.

Works great and easy to install
These cabinet locks are super easy to install and work very well. The locking mechanism is strong enough to keep the baby out. It's nice to hide the locks behind the cabinet so that it doesn't appear cluttered on the outside. It took me about 5-10 minutes to install all the locks in the package, and now I feel safer that my baby won't get into the bathroom chemicals and cleaners in the cabinets.
