The Time Travelers (The Gideon Trilogy, Book 1)

As a homeschooling mom I have been struggling to find books that will engage my son and provide a meaningful reading experience. I think this one is a winner! Although my son won't read it until school starts, I started it on Saturday and finished it today (Monday). I found it to be fast-past and fun to read. My son is almost 13 and the reading material is age appropriate for his level. I know this book is going to be a hit with him as an entertaining reading assignment, so much so, that I will be purchasing the other two before the start of our school because I know he is going to want them (ok, I admit that the first book leaves you hanging and I want to know what is going to happen next!).Best of all I ordered this book at 10:30 Thursday night with 2 day free shipping and it was at my door 2:30 Friday afternoon! How I don't know, but I was quite impressed to have it arrived that fast!

As the first in the series- it will keep your teen interested enough to want the others- that's a good thing- Promoting interest in Reading a definite plus and if it encourages and entertains as well- then it's a win-win

This book is well written and would be great for anyone interested in time travel. She really is great at describing the thoughts and feelings of what it would be like to go to the past and not have all the essentials you are used to, or for someone from the past to come to our time and experience what it is like to have nothing and then be bombarded with all this technology.

I really liked this story because it kept me posted n the edge of my seat and the characters are very lovable can’t wait to read the next book

Always looking for a good read for my 11 year old daughter that doesn't involve vampires and egregious violence. She likes the sci-fi genre, and time travel books with historical fiction backdrop and real historical characters are always a favorite. I enjoyed this as well...on to book 2.

The writer must be a museum curator. Lots of descriptions of clothes and food - (z-z-z-z). The characters worry so much they don't have any fun. I'm used to reading comics where something happens in every frame.
